Wasn't it already - kind of - announced as BREAKHEART PASS previously?

I want THE TROUBLE WITH ANGELS! Of course! That would be a natural for Bruce. Fingers crossed!

Hey, Yavar - Intrada's release of SHOCK TREATMENT and FATE IS THE HUNTER is a CD lasting 55 minutes! Much more music than the 27 minutes you've summarized above... I know, isn't it awesome? My summary was merely of the contents of surviving music on the Fox box -- at the time (9 years ago) it was said that was all that could be salvaged. You'll notice above in my reply to RoryR that I was aware of the possibility of more becoming available. I guess Intrada answered the problem of what to do with those two titles! Now I expect to see the other two more obvious pairings (the two Sinatra titles and the two TV titles) from Intrada, LLL, or maybe Varese themselves in the coming year or two. Hopefully somebody will give S*P*Y*S a chance too, despite its reputation. That'll leave only the hopeful prospect of better sources/technology giving us better stand-alone editions of Damnation Alley or The Chairman. My revised breakdown of just the still relevant portions of Discs 4-6 of the Fox Box: Disc 4: Von Ryan's Express (21 minutes) Disc 5: S*P*Y*S (19 minutes) The Chairman (13.5 minutes in mono, but only 51 seconds of unique material not on the stereo LP album re-released afterwards by Prometheus) The Detective (18 minutes) Disc 6: Damnation Alley (19 minutes, but as noted waiting on synth parts for any re-release I would think) Anna and the King (16.5 minutes) A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (14.5 minutes -- the complete score?) The Vanishing (later released complete/definitive by Varese in their Club series) It's missing some stuff. Because of current board rules, I can't quite go into a whole hell of a lot of detail. Strange (unless what's missing are alternates) since I could've sworn the Varese notes specify that theirs is the complete score -- they often don't specify in the notes even when they actually HAVE a complete score on there! Wasn't it already - kind of - announced as BREAKHEART PASS previously? Originally Bruce said Kritzerland had its first and only Goldsmith title coming up, and he mentioned Breakheart Pass as one he considered in the past and was talked out of; THEN some time after people posted about its high price on the secondary market he semi-winkingly revised his statement to say that now TWO Goldsmith titles would be coming from Kritzerland, strongly implying that Breakheart was the newly added one. That still means we have a mystery Goldsmith title from Kritzerland coming up, and it's definitely not Breakheart Pass. Yavar

Definitive Papillon wouldn't be entirely bad either... One of my favourite Goldsmith's. But what do we need that we haven't already got? I'm hoping someone will put together a complete Psycho II soundtrack. It's another one of my Holy Grails.

I really hope Bruce has more Newman coming after HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY, he's such a wonderful composer and there are some amazing scores to be had (not least a complete version of ANNE FRANK). Definitely more Newman and sooner than later.

Great news, Bruce! Are they premieres or expansions? I'd advise people not to hold their breath for Anne Frank, though, especially since it had the LP program just reissued... Yavar

I'm pretty sure Varese owns Leviathan in perpetuity. Don't think he'd do Link. I'd expect that more from LLL at some point in the future, and then probably only if they can find the complete score this time. Wild Rovers is also unlikely because Bruce only deals with post-1986 MGM titles or the older UA titles owned by the modern day MGM (like Breakheart Pass). We also know that it won't be any of the Fox Box titles, because he said that all the ones he considered worthwhile were already snapped up by other labels. It makes most sense to look at Goldsmith scores from Paramount (maybe a Seconds reissue?), United Artists, or Fox (besides the box stuff) -- and only ones that don't have album rights tied up elsewhere, because Bruce only occasionally messes with that kind of more complicated licensing. I guess there's also a slim chance of him doing a later MGM title like Poltergeist II but he tends to focus on older stuff unless it's something he feels a particular connection to. Yavar

Any update on how soon this might be coming, Bruce? Yavar

It's been quite a few months since you first told us about this mysterious Goldsmith you were doing, Bruce. Usually you have a very fast turnaround. Can you give us any hints yet or let us know how soon it might be coming? Hopefully it's still coming... Yavar

This was and is an unusual year for us in that we actually had projects for the entire year in advance, so we're just doing them as the masters get done.

Wow! So "first and probably last" turned into THREE Goldsmith releases? Awesome! Can you tell us if these two are premieres, expansions, or revisits/remasters to satisfy demand? Yavar
