I would have bought it if they had a third version of the score : one without that incredibly annoying lullaby! bruce ps before you shoot me let me have these final, last words. " the music worked brilliantly in the film, BUT THE enjoyability of the LISTENING EXPERIENCE ON on cd, has diminished over the years. for me. READY! AIM!.......FIRE!

Wow. The music has never sounded more gorgeous. Again, nuances I never knew were there, orchestral colors and just the pure power of the orchestra are simply amazing. Mr. Matessino, however, needs to put down his dictionary and speak a little more clearly. Those fifty cent words were distracting in an otherwise wonderful booklet. No really, did he HAVE to use "exegesis" as a word to illustrate something? Or this sentence, which sounds more like a grad student thesis than liner notes to a soundtrack: "A common theory adduces that a poltergeist represents an external manifestation of subconscious emetion energy." Adduces? Exegesis? Really? I'm being a nit...and truth be told, if that's the ONLY thing I can nit about, it's not even that big a deal. So, I'll just shut up now. After all, we know what this score is really about, right? It's the music!! And the music is GRAND!! FSM gets highest marks on this. And in the "Just one more nit department:" (Did Bruce Botnick REALLY need to pull a Bret Easton Ellis and name drop every mechanical instrument he ever worked on? I am sure there are people out there creaming with joy over this, but it just gave me a headache. As I said before, just GIMME THE MUSIC!!!) Okay, now I'm REALLY shutting up. (Five "reallys" - including this one - in a single post...how pathetic...)
