Estonia sunday. another tough one.
wow, will have to set the sky box for that. not!

sadly in the qualifiers, the bigger teams are all in different groups so the match ups are usually always one-sided and not very mouthwatering.

I play footy on a Thurs night between 8 and 9, so thankfully avoided David and Goliath.
Hopefully I can find something equally as fun to do on Sunday and miss that one too smile

I couldn't be bothered watching Engerland v San Marino. Literally watching the grass grow that one. I did see some of Slovakia v Spain, the first qualifying game Spain have lost since 2006 incredibly. They were pretty poor.

NI v Faroe Islands, ROI v Gibraltar this weekend. Even those 2 can't screw them up surely.

It wasn't an enjoyable game. Good to see new players get blooded. The Swiss being beaten again puts our first game into perspective but if we struggle to qualify from this group we should give it up and play rounders instead.

Shock Result!

Poland 2 - Germany 0
Wow, no one saw that comin'.
Poland were pretty poor but soaked up German pressure/possession and sucker punched them twice (thanks to some awful/sloppy defending from the World Champs).

How come Spain were playin a qualifier (that they lost) the other night?
I thought the holders never had to qualify for a tournament they held, or am I misremembering?

england win a dreary game 1 nil in estonia. against ten men.
yawn.
rooney gets 43rd goal bt could have had hattrick.
Rahim Sterling tired. but at least he told Hodgson.
Beckham never did.
He used to take the caps for Brand beckham even when he couldnt move.

Yeah, it's same the old story. England will qualify for the competition buy beating a few minnows, & then hit a brick wall the first time they have to play a quality side.

Look, forget about England now. They're through already.

Here's an antidote to all the England hype...

Little point in watching any more of Engerland's Euro Qualifiers, tedious games in their usual piss easy group. The other 'home' countries have all started well and have at least given themselves a chance to qualify for a change. You can thank UEFA for the decision to 'expand' the tournament. Maybe La La Land can release the DVD of that one.

Liverpool away to QPR on Sunday I believe. I may well be too "tired" to watch that one...

some observations on qpr and harry on radio n tv today.. clive allen said Harry looked jaded and lost his spark.
rodney marsh today said qpr look feeble upfront and shaky at the back. he said buying ferdinand was a big mistake coz hes shot. and he said he watched the west ham qpr game and rangers werent at the races. he expected them to bring on someone who would chase tha ball, put in some tackles and kick a few players. but he said harry put on Adel Taraabt.!!!

They did that alright, if for nothing more than the crime of wearing that white suit the day he signed for the mancs. Footballers in white suits, wherever did he get that ideawink
