Business as usual, celebrating with my family.

However, I was expecting to celebrate in Newcastle this year, as our plane was cancelled and the chances of getting back on time looked slim. But here I am, back home. Will be celebrating with my parents, sister and grandmother (whose health is slim). My brother lives in Newcastle, so he won't be joining.

Big party on Christmas day, I suspect, with friends. Going out on the town.

My *Christmas* plans involve spending my first Christmas outside New Jersey since I was three years old, as this is the first time travel is involved for Christmas Day. Just arrived in Ohio at my sister's place after a two day drive that saw us stop briefly (braving deep snow) at the Flight #93 memorial in western PA.

This year for Thanksgiving my parents and I are going to my aunts house, not sure about Christmas yet. BTW, I had a great Halloween yesterday!

What time's dinner? I'm going to your house...

Add me to the list of dwindling family get together's. Most of my immediate family have past on. Extended family members live a thousand miles away. Regardless, my new job will probably have me working on Thanksgiving and Xmas day.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Norway for obvious reasons, but I still haven't planned Christmas yet. Probably business as usual (see previous posts).

Hi solium! I'm sorry about your immediate family. My extended family is now in Arizona and Florida, I'm in Minnesota. I do still have an aunt and uncle in Minnesota, but unfortunately don't see them much. I hope you have a great Holiday season my friend!smile

Thxs, Henry. smile Family is more spread out than ever nowadays, right?! I still have a family member near by. I'll be enjoying the holidays with them if I'm not working.

Yup! I've been there before at this time of year, it'll be nice and warm, not baking ( about 20-25c ) in the day but freezing at night.

I'm off for four months, making my way through Tibet/China to Vietnam, Cambodia and eventually flying back from Thailand.

Golly gosh Timmer, do take care. As my dear old grandmother used to say when I went camping as a teen in the mountains of Glencoe, "Mind yersel' son, there are a lot o' queer biddies oot there who urny quite richt in the heid".

Will you be taking your computer and desk with you? It'll be very worying if you're out of contact for four months. Or can everything be nowadays via telegram?
