Agreed, what a whingeing little s***.

Can we say that? Hope so. Let's say it like it is.

The chelsea player was wrong to try and toe-poke it out from under him, we've all done it when we've played football, but at the same time you can understand the frustration. Hoddle pointed out on TV that the ballboys had tried a similar scam a few mins earlier with a corner and the ballboy walked in slow mothion and threw the ball back so slowly the keeper had to come and fetch it. Its a little bit like this single ball multi ball tactic they use. When youre losing, multiball all around the ground to keep the pressure on, if youre winning, collect all the balls and wait each time for the one ball to be returned. Shouldnt be allowed.

Apparently the kid's parents own shares in Swansea and are worth 42 million quid. And he did tweet before the match that he was needed back one last time because he was king of the time wasters !!

Equally Id like to see the adult at Swansea who instructs the ballboys to waste time when theyre winning stand up and take some of the heat.

They joked that Ferguson said the kid is lucky to be alive!!! made me laugh.

Daniel Levy, Gary Lineker, Thor, Gazza, Bill Nicholson - yours boys took a hell of a beating!

And we did it without our Argie goal-scoring machine. Like Mr Beckford (now languishing on loan at Huddersfield without even his pal Simon Grayson to help him), Becchio has decided that he's better than he is... I don't want him to go, but then again, I don't want anyone to pull on the white shirt if they'd rather be elsewhere. In ten years time, I'll still be supporting them, but who'll remember Becchio?

Bring on the Mancs!

Oh dear...

Bit of a shambolic performance by Liverpool yesterday. Defence looked all over the shop, as if they had never played together before (which they hadn't!). I'm not at all convinced about Coates or Robinson, even allowing for the fact they are both still young. And Brad Jones did not look comfortable at all during the game.

Pity, I was hoping we would have a decent cup run, as these days it's a trophy we really should be trying to win in the absence of anything else. I don't understand why PL managers don't pick their first choice players in these games, you run a big risk of getting knocked out by lower league teams. Look at Norwich, QPR, Spurs this weekend....(Congrats TG for that!)

Anyway well played to Oldham, the better team won on the day. Ironic their manager Paul Dickov looks likely to get the boot...

transfer deadline day boys.

Becchio to norwich sounds like TG's day is ruined!!

Dont think Hammers in for much - we've already brought in players that are no better than what we already had and theyve already shown theyre not going to rip up any trees.

Having just brought him in, perhaps there is still time to get shot of Joe Cole today before he costs us anymore goals with his slopping lack of marking and feeble tackling?
Or maybe send Carlton Cole out on loan to somewhere like Huddersfield and upfront we could play a large fence post or maybe a rotten tree - might get more movement out of them, especially if its windy.

I try to be a glass-half-full person, but we swapped Becchio for Steve Morison, a man who can't even spell his own name properly!

Wonder if Odemwingie can spell his?

Strangest thing of all yesterday, he drove all the way to London thinking his transfer to QPR was on, only to find out it wasn't and he ends up looking lost!!

They were singing "you came to QPR...
and we left you in the car...."

Tough one today for thomas and kev.
we will see how far liverpool have come - if at all.

a desperate win for the hammers.

Teams below us all battling and nicking points - and we were plummeting and looking very very shaky.

But andy was back in the starting line up - at least a man who can get off the ground for headers. Straight away we looked more dangerous and created chances.

I wonder if its too late to let Cole go somewhere the transfer window hasnt shut?
Iceland? Afghanistan?

----------------------
Same score as Anfield earlier in the season - 2-2 - and like that game, another gift from the Reds to give them a point. Last time it was Skrtel, this time it was the fast-fading Pepe frown

All we did was help the other Mancs closer to lifting title numer 20 frown
4th place is starting to look remote, although we are certainly improving, form-wise.
I will live in hope of a strong final push. We still have to play Spurs and Everton.

Id say 5th could be a result for you while you are still not firing on all cylinders and players are bedding in, Kev. Although the Sturridge arrival seems to have made you better balanced and given you another attacking option, and will, in turn, give suarez more time and space to move.
Spurs could blow up - like normal - and gift a spot to someone behind them (Defoe losing his scoring boots and now injured could be a big blow), and Arsenal, who arent really very good by their usual standards, are sort of getting better as their players play together more, but they will finish the season stronger than they started.
Everton seem to be having a bit of blip at the moment and if they get any injuries to key men, like fellaini and jelavic, they could start struggling and fade.

It would seem that Manchester United is running on all cylinders, at least thus far. Van Persie has been sort of quiet, minus the occasional snot rocket but Wayne Rooney has taken the scoring chores. They also aren't conceding many goals. It looks as though De Gea is maturing and set to be the usual starting goalkeeper. They're nine points over Manchester City and have already beaten them at the Ethiad this season. I know everyone else here hates United, but they really are playing well this season.

You think this proposed triple-trade involving De Gea, Pepe Reina and Victor Valdes at Barcelona is off the cards now, then?

Actually, that probably overstates the situation. Just don't expect a good word from me for SCUM IN THE NEAT RED (anag.)

Although, when I think about it, I do have a good word for them. And it's £(&!$

I'd hate to see De Gea go especially since he seems to be getting better and he is quite young. I was critical of him last season but he has impressed me so far this year.

Is it just a coincidence in that I've seen matches where they have been less than stellar, but are Reina and Valdes "mental error" prone?

Manchester City gets its ass handed to them (it?) by "lowly" Southampton, 3-1! Why aren't you people talking about that? big grin

Manchester United in first place by 12 points. Van Persie scores again. The revenge game against Everton another win.

Jimbo Phelpsmeister, its so good to see you back, man!!!

I suffered Hammers away to Villa on sunday.
Dreadful game of wayward passes.

Clearly one of the worst Villa sides Ive seen in 30 or 40 years.
But we gave them the ball so much we made them look good.
Then they gave the ball back to us.
It was like NPower football all over again - sloppy control and the hot potato nobody wants!!

In the end you could smell a Villa goal coming.
And you could smell the second too.
wished Id done bet in play!
had to rely on an own goal to get back into the game but it was too little too late.
No good showing urgency in the last ten minutes when you have played like a fkn brain-dead zombie for the first 80!

Allardyce said afterwards we were "outstanding" - although I am not quite sure what match he was watching but there was nothing outstanding about any of our football, at any time.
Scandalous might have been a better word.
Perhaps he forgot we werent in claret and blue that day, I dunno?

You-know-who top of the league by 12 points then? after a wonderful own goal from Gareth put paid to Man City's challenge with one touch of his right foot. If I was Sheik Yourmoney I wouldnt have Barry in the most expensive team in the world, thats for sure.

kev and thomas - my comment previously about whether Liverpool were making progress?? - they should not be 0-2 down at home to an obviously-upper-mid-table side on the slide like West Brom.

Yep, we are were we should be. 8th sounds about right.*
Another game we dominated. 19 attempts on goal AND a penalty miss to their 0 attempts before they went 1 nil up after some inept, schoolboy defending from a corner! Agger at fault.
Then the desperate chasing of the game leading to a breakaway, more inept defending (Agger again) and it's 2-0 and game over!
Can't wait for the season to be over, if I'm honest.

Oops! 9th. West Brom leap-frogged us by beating us.
