I'm barely familiar with this one at all, so I think it's time I do the same as you, Wagner!

Even if this can't be expanded, it needs to be REMASTERED badly.

Let me have a go - I’m sure I could do it appallingly!

I think The Reivers was the first Williams LP I ever bought, for £1 if memory serves, from a little shop in Bridlington on a school trip. An expanded version would be great fun.

Outside of STORY OF A WOMAN showing up for a release or re-recording (NOT GONNA HAPPEN), this and THE COWBOYS are the two JW scores I'd really love to be given the Mike-M TLC treatment.

The Reivers is probably my favorite Williams score. I'd love to see an expanded version including both the final score and Lalo Schifrin's rejected score. Schifrin had previously shown a great apptitude (in Cool Hand Luke, for instance) for scoring southern Americana.

2) I really miss being able to hear on demand the music underscoring the climactic race. It evokes a feeling of suspended time and is the perfect accompaniment to the slow-motion sequence.

Here's the scene in glorious HD, for those who are interested:
