I have a niece who is more like a sister to me. We are very close in age and grew up together. Well, she was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer last spring and has been undergoing chemo. She is scheduled for a fully mastectomy tomorrow and it will be another year of chemo and radiation.
I am asking for your prayers, positive thoughts and whatever you can do. We are a kind and caring group here and I feel very comfortable asking for this.
In my thoughts, but prayers are not in my repertoir.....I will however put some folding money into a top Cancer charity's collection tin today in her honour. All my best wishes....
A worrying situation naturally, ed, but these things often have successful outcomes. Will be sparing a thought for you here. Let us know how things go.
The next greatest blessing to knowing someone is praying for you is to have someone ask that you pray for them. Prayers and blessings for your niece and you.
I hope she can get through OK. My mum died of cancer a number of years back now. It's still a very prevalent disease, despite all the advances recently. Both you and your niece are in my thoughts.
As they say in the wellness seminars: I wish for both you and your niece the highest good for all concerned. And for something better if it comes along.
I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and words of encouragement. My niece made it through the 5.5 hour surgery and tomorrow is a new day. Thank you all. I kept these words with me all day.
