James (if I may), you weren't able in the end to take my M**nr*k*r money, so I've just spent my first few quid with you on an impulse. An amazingly low-priced Betsy is zooming my way.
It was the great video sample and ease of PayPal checkout that won me over.
There - you knew it was worth going to all that trouble!

Turned up today, played about half of it so far. Wonderful score, brilliantly recreated. As always I'm quietly awed by how John Barry gets so much clarity and emotion from modest forces. Don't get me wrong, I love Shostakovich and Morricone music beyond all description, but Barry in this mood is simply incomparable.
If you like Bond you should get Mister Moses as well -- awesome brass!
Yavar
Indeed, Yavar - but The Betsy and Mr Moses are at opposite ends of the John Barry spectrum. Mr Moses is brass and percussion heavy, where Betsy is pretty much free of percussion and bombast. Thoroughly gorgeous.
Tallow's sales continues! And they added new items. I just grabbed the followings:
- Taras Bulba (even though I own Kritzerland's) - Lawrence of Arabia - Conan the Destroyer - Obsession (even though I own Music Box's) - The Fall of the Roman Empire - Quo Vadis
What a big sale! I know Tadlow's recordings are THE BEST but I can't stop asking myself if I did right choosing those releases even though I own previous recordings?

But in the case of most of them especially Taras, Fall and Quo, there is so much more music to enjoy than on other editions....and the sound is rather better.....

Sorry to see Sherlock being deleted, it has a prominent place on my shelf next to Guns of Navarone and True Grit as the first 3 Tadlow recordings in my collection. Glad the sale allowed me to get caught up. Just curious if the Lesley Garrett cd is back in stock. I think having my copy arrive before St. Patrick's day would be cool.
I wanted to acknowledge James for his wonderful service and his grateful sale (I wish every company do something like this). I approached to the following items on this sale:
- Conan the Destroyer - Lawrence of Arabia - The Fall of the Roman Empire - Quo Vadis - Taras Bulba - Obsession - QB VII - The Salamander - Hour of the Guns - Exodus
Very happy with the business and wanted all of you to know. Keep the top notch job James!
If it's not a rude or prying question, how will Brexit affect Tadlow? Effectively a UK company working in Europe.
should not be effected in anyway ...as 65% of my clients deal in Euros, the rest in £ ....but fortunately the Czech Crown is not over strong so "business as usual" ....I hope !
Question for Mr Fitzpatrick: will any Tadlow/Prometheus re-recordings make their way to streaming and download sites (as Tribute Film Classics have) in the future?
