However, I was looking for a documented answer i.e. an article, interview.. etc. Ironically, your answer is an almost perfect illustration of heresay First of all, hearsay, please! I keep thinking you're accusing me of heresy! Yes, in a court of law, Ford's statement would likely be inadmissible on hearsay grounds. But outside of court, "hearsay" generally means "unsubstantiated rumor," and I don't think that's what we're talking about. It's unlikely Goldsmith would ever have done an interview stating "I never want this soundtrack released on the following grounds" (and even if he had, having been interviewed for newspapers -- including major ones -- I can tell you that I have been quoted saying things I never said!). So for the sake of this thread, I'll take Ford's statement, one step removed from the horse's mouth, as the answer. Do you always take yourself so seriously Schiff? BTW, in court of law, your statement would also be inadmissible, but please don't let that stop your habitual condescension. But thanks for biting back so predictably and thus winning me a tiny wager I had on the side. P.S Thanks for setting me straight on my spelling mistake. Should have double checked, but then English is a second language for me, contrary to your buddy (third or possibly even fourth in his case if his spelling, grammar and syntax are any indication).

Condescending? And I thought I was being friendly! (Seriously.) One doesn't necessarily exclude the other.

I love the score, especially when the vibrant piano is added to the main theme. THIS PRECISELY, JOAN! That is my absolute favorite part of the main title!

Advise & Consent, you said English is your second language. Wow, I'm surprised because you are fluent in your written English. I was sure you were American. You, Thor and a few others have an amazing grasp of the English language. We Americans are terrible about learning other languages. Thor may have an amazing grasp of the English language, but we wish he didn't. Jokes aside, my impression (and correct me if I'm wrong, Thor) is that Thor's been speaking English his whole life, in addition to Norwegian. Correct?

My significant contribution to this topic is that I love the score, especially when the vibrant piano is added to the main theme. Moi? Un Américain? Thanks for the kind words Joan, but in this instance Thor wins hands down. I met him at the FFM in 2012 and I must say that his French was impeccable. Quite a feat really considering his English is as good as his Norse.
