Saying you respect what others like means that you also have to respect what others don't like.
Otherwise it's a thread with no purpose other than seeing your own words.
And remember, in your first post you invited opinions.
You can't cry foul when you get them just because they don't necessarily jibe with yours or they meander in their point a little.
His comment was completely unnecessary, obviously condescending, and useless. Why even post on this topic if you have nothing useful (or even funny) to say?
Defend your friend, I respect that. Anyone can see he was simply trolling. There isn't a soul outside this forum whom wouldn't see that as trolling.
All respect to your friendship with Jim (I still respect the man's score opinions btw). But a troll needs to be marked as such.
I get the feeling Jim himself knew what he did wasn't exactly useful, and it inspired some resentment from more than one person here. I do regret starting a topic no one cared about, I completely cop to that.
And that's it. I'm out of here; I only answered these defensive posts because I would have looked like a coward otherwise. You all know he was in the wrong...but ultimately it really isn't a big deal is it?

Like I said, you set the parameters in your first post.
Unfortunately, not all comments will always be what you perceive to be "useful or even funny".
One should expect the odd goofy remark in a place like this.
It's full of silliness like what you are railling against.
And for what it's worth, I don't know Jim from Adam.
