I'll support the earlier replies in suggesting you obtain this score. As with all the re-recordings it isn't a perfect representation of the score but it's so good that, even if you know the original, you'll forgive the differences especially after a few plays. And being a 2013 recording the sound is truly magnificent ... so, whilst I would love to have an official release of the 1978 OST, this fills the gap and does so wonderfully. Amongst 40 years of John Barry scores this one doesn't rate that highly for me but that's only because I prefer many of his others. I recall seeing the film many years ago (and would like to see it again, despite it being rather poor) and as usual (no: as always) with a John Barry score the music fits the visuals like a glove. Yes, there are similarities with other JB scores, especially of that era, such as King Kong (1976), and that main theme is a pure JB melody. But, so what, it's a great way to spend 46'28". I hadn't played this recording for more than 2 years but this thread urged me to choose it - just finished. A wonderful way to end the day. Mitch
