In the early 90s, I paid over £100 for a limited edition CD from Movie Boulevard.

A single LP for my friend and customer back in the 90's, $100, FOR JURASSIC PARK- WILLAMS.Believe it or not back then I got on 2 different occasions THE CAINE MUTINY LP for less.

I found a mint copy of Jurassic Park, the picture disc- in a box, at a swap meet, for one dollar.

True story.

I found mint copies of LINK, SUSPECT and KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE for 11$ each, back when they were worth about a million simoleons each. Instant purchase of course!

The Star Trek TOS Box from LLL. There was no way I wasn't going to buy this. To tell you the truth, I would have paid up to $400 for it, so the $225 asking price was a real bargain. For those who took advantage of the 20% off sale, they got it for $180. Talk about a steal!

Adam, I would've forked over a lot more money for it too, so $225 was very reasonable. I'm sure La-La has many wonderful releases planned for the future, but I can't imagine another release that will surpass one of this magnitude or importance.

You must be talking about CDs, right?

The vinyl rendition of the now OOP The Great Gatsby is selling for five hundred bucks right now on ebay, and higher. Okay, it is a double album, but the records have a gold and platinum finish and come in a hand made, hand numbered, box, an item that immediately reminded me of the Elfman-Burton thingy.

90 Euros on a Meissen cameo struck to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the death of Schubert - at a market in Vienna. It was made in the old East Germany (Dresden), so it has 'provenance'.

ST:TOS with the express international postage

FSM: Blue Box

Then various LLLR sets (X-Files, Medal Honor, B:TaS and such)

Not sure what the most I've paid for a single CD is, certainly the least is €1 (a few B5 episodic CDs pop up at that price).

Most expensive, single item and indeed single CD too, was an original Vibes, secondhand from SAE at $224.95. I have to say I'd been putting it off for ages due to the price, but had enough money at the time to make a choice to be a completist for my JH collection.

Yes. That was around August 2000. I was out of town and had heard of this store through a friend. Needless to say, I far exceeded my CD budget for the day, but I got a bout a dozen of rare, OOP and highly desirable scores for a releatively parltry sum. The aforementionned titles were just a few of the goodies to be found there on my first trip.

FSM's Ron Jones ST:TNG box was the msot I've spent on one item. Since Jones thankfully accidently spilled the beans on it's release, almost a year and-a-half before it came out, I was able to save up for it, since I had a little job back then. No way I could have bought it out-right then. If it wasn't for the crack-head lady (something I discoverd later) not paying me for a month's work and replacing me without notice, I could have saved up for the Superman box, too. But that one is up, up & away without me; one day I'll fall into some cash, and buy it used.

Probably the 130 beans I dropped on Goldsmith at Fox.

If we're talking about a purchase of a single score...Link. $50 on ebay. Don't judge me.

When it comes to film books those Variety film review big bounded green books. As I remember when I got them in the 80's they cost in the hundreds.
