Two mild surprises ("disappointments") though, based on what we know from today's descriptions:
1. The cover of volume 2 still appears flipped. To picture Jerry with the baton in his left hand seems odd for a book that aims to be definitive. Yes, I get the symmetry with volume 1, but taken by itself it doesn't reflect the accuracy of the words inside. "If they can't even get the cover right..." etc.
2. The pages are black and white? I get the cost implications of producing this in colour, but that's a shame - especially since the description refers to "dazzling artwork". Even the digital version is black and white? Odd.
That people can bitch about the product well before release/final stages is the sure sign of The Soundtrack Fan...

Don't be ridiculous.
If pointing out these "quirks" well before release results in a better product, then everybody wins, right? It's certainly more effective than bitching about it afterwards.
It's "bitching" weeks ago about cost/postage that means there are now more formats (digital, softcover), for example.
This is a passion project. You can't fault fans for being passionate about it, surely?
Sorry to be a bit thick. I'm trying to pledge to the Hardback version, but what are the "numbered & signed Bookplates" ??. as opposed to just being a Hardback copy ??.

It's the author's signature stuck to an inside page. The author signs the bookplate instead of the actual book.

You CAN fault 'fans' for stupidity and entitlement, tho...
How does the La La Land coupon code work? Is it one time use? ------------------------------------------------------------------- And if it is one-time, is there an expiration date on it?
I posted the question on Kickstarter and got this replay:
"You'll be e-mailed a special code when the Goldsmith books are shipped that will allow the one-time-use discount on one order. It can also be used anytime with no expiration date."
Perhaps I missed it, but I don’t see where you can order just one of the volumes and digitally. They did say earlier that the books will be sold separately…..

I imagine that when the books are published you can just order as you like, this is just the Kickstarter portion to support the project and isn't going to be the only way for getting the books.
