I personally come here to discuss movies and movie music. This doesn't seem like the appropriate place for other people's view points when it comes to politics or what they consider "woke" or a "woke narrative" or whatever else people would like to call it. I've done my best to point out that this isn't adding to the discussion about the movie or its music. Hopefully people can refocus and begin discussing Godzilla vs Kong without interjecting their personal political opinions.
The whole point of mentioning the "woke" component was to highlight the fact that most people DON'T want a helping of struggles sessions along with their Kaiju flicks. Political messaging in the cinema is a - sometimes unfortunate - given, but will very often will get under the radar, thus having a minimal effect on the enjoyment of the movie. In this particular case, the woke factor was dialed back considerably and didn't really mar the viewing experience, something which I appreciated and a point I made a few posts back.
Every element that makes up a movie, the script, the acting, the direction, the music, the effects and yes, the political motivations of those behind the production, come together in ways that will be perceived differently by different people. Expressing those different views while discussing the movie is part and parcel of the appreciation - or non-appreciation - of the experience.

Ehh… the flick was 40 mins. longer than it had any right to be. In fact, it was so immersive that 3/4s in I found myself browsing “30 Celebs Who Got Fat”, that after reading a “Friends” reunion was in the offing … and boy-oh-boy did Joey get chonky (and the less seen of Chandler the better) … but, anyway, the whole Mecha-Godzilla subplot with Milli Vanilli could have been cut and none would be the wiser; same with the middle-earth excursion, which seemed like an overly convoluted means of Kong weaponing up. As for the much ballyhooed kaiju action, all the SMASH BANG BOOM reminded me of one of Michael Bay’s obnoxious Transformer “movies” witlessly accompanied by a 6 year old at a drum set.
By way of comparison, I rewatched Godzilla ’14 afterward and, holy moly, what a difference a director and composer makes. The film may be overlong by about 30 minutes—what with too much time spent pointing the camera at boring bobbleheads in uniforms shouting operational procedures—and also possessing its own narrative flaws—shifting focus from the only interesting character and actor in Cranston to the super-uncharismatic tag-team of Taylor-Johnson & Olsen—but visually and musically Godzilla '14 is light years beyond the cash grab that is KvG.

I loved the movie. Anyone who went in expecting a Shakespearean masterpiece was setting themselves up for failure.
Yes in a movie where gigantic monsters are roaming the Earth they had Hollow Earth. It’s a movie filled with monsters larger than skyscrapers. What else did you expect?
This movie was fun and I enjoyed it. It was a nice distraction from all the current stresses of my life (work full time and school full time). I was Team Kong all the way. I loved Kong and Godzilla working together against Mecha Godzilla. Fun stuff. The stuff with the little girl communicating with Kong through sign language was pretty fun.
The film score was good for the movie and I intend to buy it for my writing hobby.

Political Science for my Bachelor’s! I majored in Criminal Justice for my Associates. On my last year of school and I will have my Bachelor’s.
The schedule though between work, school, and my political activism has been really draining. So that’s what helps me enjoy movies like these. I need a distraction from reality. This movie was a fun watch for that alone.

Nice. Keep at it. You're definitely on the right track and if I may say, a model for your fellow students. Juggling school, work and the rest of both what life has to offer (and throw at you) is a fine balancing act, but as you're demonstrating, it can be done. Kudos!

Score sounds absolutely horrible!

I was disappointed when i got the soundtrack in the mail. I opened it up to find that the spine is partly on the back card on the right side and the back card is partly on the spine on the left side. SMH!
Same here. I knew about the CD-r situation, but the soundtrack arrived here in exactly the same shape as yours. I purchased the CD-r on the basis that I want to encourage physical products, but all things considered, I should have went for a download for a score is of very little interest. I think I'll be doing that form here on in for scores that are middling at best.
