I just wanted to reiterate the praise that's been provided for this set, and to share my personal appreciation. This was an instant purchase for me and I was lucky enough to get one of the signed copies. Very well done, and an excellent box-set to close out the year.

Yavar, thanks for your part in collecting requests and passing them on--I'm really pleased to have received seven TNG scores of the ones I had requested, and couldn't be happier with the outcome overall. Oh, and please read below :-)

Regarding TNG scores:

By my count we now have either full or partial score releases for a whopping 122 episodes of TNG, or close to 70% of the series! Astonishing.

That leaves 56 TNG episodes with unreleased music. In case it's helpful for future reference, these are:

S1
Justice - Dennis McCarthy
Angel One - Dennis McCarthy

S2
The Schizoid Man -Dennis McCarthy
The Dauphin - Dennis McCarthy
Samaritan Snare - Dennis McCarthy

S3
The Ensigns of Command - Dennis McCarthy
The Vengeance Factor - Dennis McCarthy
The Most Toys - Dennis McCarthy

S4
Suddenly Human - Dennis McCarthy
Legacy - Dennis McCarthy
The Loss - Dennis McCarthy
Galaxy's Child - Dennis McCarthy
Identity Crisis - Dennis McCarthy
Half a Life - Dennis McCarthy
The Mind's Eye - Dennis McCarthy
Redemption, Part 1 - Dennis McCarthy

S5
Redemption, Part 2 - Dennis McCarthy
Ensign Ro - Dennis McCarthy
Disaster - Dennis McCarthy
A Matter of Time - Jay Chattaway
New Ground - Dennis McCarthy
Hero Worship - Jay Chattaway
Violations - Dennis McCarthy
The Masterpiece Society - Jay Chattaway
Ethics - Dennis McCarthy
The Outcast - Jay Chattaway
The First Duty - Jay Chattaway
Cost of Living - Dennis McCarthy
Imaginary Friend - Dennis McCarthy
The Next Phase - Dennis McCarthy
Time's Arrow, Part 1 - Dennis McCarthy

S6
Time's Arrow, Part II - Dennis McCarthy
Realm of Fear - Jay Chattaway
Man of the People - Dennis McCarthy
Rascals - Dennis McCarthy
The Quality of Life - Dennis McCarthy
Aquiel - Jay Chattaway
Birthright, Part II - Jay Chattaway
Suspicions - Dennis McCarthy
Rightful Heir - Dennis McCarthy
Second Chances - Dennis McCarthy
Timescape - Dennis McCarthy

S7
Liaisons - Dennis McCarthy
Interface - Jay Chattaway
Phantasms - Dennis McCarthy
Attached - Dennis McCarthy
Force of Nature - Dennis McCarthy
Inheritance - Jay Chattaway
Homeward - Dennis McCarthy
Lower Decks - Jay Chattaway
Thine Own Self - Dennis McCarthy
Masks - Dennis McCarthy
Eye of the Beholder - Jay Chattaway
Genesis - Dennis McCarthy
Firstborn - Dennis McCarthy
Bloodlines - Dennis McCarthy

The possibility of another release that might contain more TNG music is brilliant! I would hope episodes from the above list might be picked (rather than expanding on already-represented episodes), and I have my selection of personal musical favorites (posted in the original request thread; don't want to duplicate it here), but any of the above would be fantastic.

Thanks again to all involved--bravo! And here's hoping for even more releases!

I still vote for a release of the "Enterprise into the sunset" music from a Fistful of Datas by Chattaway.

Oh, man- the music for TAS is so worth it. It's right up there with TOS- very memorable and listenable.

So, has anyone figured out (or does know) where to place the additional cue for "The Survivors"?

So far I did order the tracks like this:

01 Music Boxer
02 Music Box - Symphonic
03 La Grange Point
04 Telepathic - Kevin's Waltz - Uxbridged
05 One Entity - Conscience
06 Music Box

I'd guess "Diversion" would fit either before or after "La Grange Point" but I'm not sure.
(Ordering this chrononogically is a bit tricky anyway because of the various source cues - so far I simply tried to create a good order listening-experience-wise.)

As for "Elementary, Dear Data" I figured all the new tracks would simply go after the previously released cues since the tracklist on TNG's Volume 1 made it clear that all the cues on there were Pre-Title-sequence cues.

If anyone's interested in the chronological order of Caretaker, here's what I have:

Part 1:
01 Prologue
02 Lookover - Maiden Voyager
03 70 Thousand Light Years From Home
04 Beamed To The Farm
05 Lifesigns In The Barn
06 Not Enough Time

Part 2:
01 Escape From The Ocampa Underground
02 Paris Takes The Helm
03 Battle For The Array
04 Set Course For Home

(Not too hard to place the new track into it - but the old GNPD-release didn't put the cues in chronological order, so there's some tracks switched around.)

Robotoliver,

Are you looking at getting LCARS covers for some of the new material here?

I think the TOS material is covered, and many cues are from previously released episode scores.

Count me as a fan of your covers BTW. Being obsessive about the music, your work is a fantastic way of putting some polish to the digital library. smile

These are the Survivors cues available:

LLL TNG Vol 1 has three tracks:

Music Boxer M16
Telepathic M41/Kevin's Waltz M42/Uxbridged M43 [not Unbridged, our bad]
Music Box M42 (I don't know if this is an overlay or unused or what, sorry)

LLL TNG Vol 3 has two tracks:

Music Box M31 Music Box only / Symphonic M31
La Grange Point M25
One Entity M52/Conscience M53

and the ST 50th collection has one more piece:

Diversion M32

Have fun!

Lukas

Thanks for the help, Lukas!

So it's more like

01 Music Boxer
02 La Grange Point
03 Music Box - Symphonic
04 Diversion
05 Telepathic - Kevin's Waltz - Uxbridged
06 One Entity - Conscience
07 Music Box (still using that one as some sort of bookending the selection)

Didn't realize the stalwart production team on this would give me a totally unexpected variation on one of my top-five danger cues on the show.

They did so with the extended "Spock's Brain" cue "No Mind/Tense Meeting/Tracking the Alien/The Question", in which part or all of "The Question" presages said favorite danger cue "Kara's Kaper".

Loved all those less-hissy second season Courage-conducted library cues, and Bulk and Matessino and Malone did great work on The Animated Series cues. Congratulations to all!

this set is for STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION FANS, for the original series there is noting there and they should have made available THE ANIMATED SERIES on a cd alone.

I'm a TOS guy through and through and I'm still very excited about this set.

Of course even if it IS a good set for TNG fans, what's wrong with that?

Well, between TAS, the revised tracks from TMP and TWOK, and the better masters of TOS, I think it's a pretty tasty TOS set as well.

IMHO of course.

The first-generation tape of "Sad and Thoughtful on Captain's Theme" is a real treasure. All those second season Courage library cues are.

And "Fight on Captain's Theme" rocks harder than ever.

Try contacting them directly.

I'm sure they're pretty busy, and are not going to be on this forum as frequently as working their inboxes.

Finally got mine and listened to it. I kept the best till last: TAS.
I just can't believe it really has come true. Even more than the TOS-box, this is still a "pinch me am I dreaming" situation. Those wonderful wonderful tracks.
I bought this set only for the TAS, and I got what I wanted.

Thank you so very very much La La Land!!

Really enjoying this set, especially The Animated Series...not having seen it in probably twenty years, it's amazing how these cues have stuck with me (probably because they were reused so often!). Thank you La La Land.

I second this, through and through. So great to have the TOS music and the wonderful themes for the animated episodes. As another poster observed, those themes stay with you.
