Well, this is only a 6 min suite performed live by the now defunct BBC Radio Orchestra with Scott at the helm, but at least it's something from the score.
Wow! I had no idea this existed, thank you so much for uploading! Where is it from?
A reminder that a 10-minute suite of more music (as much as I could pull that wasn't buried in dialogue or SFX) can be found via Dropbox in the original post.
The challenge on this one is we've only been able to locate mono elements. Not that there's anything wrong with mono, but given that it's a such obscure property and television, it's saleability would be really impaired...especially since you would expect stereo from that period. We'll keep looking though!

Roger, thank you so much for these updates. Please do keep searching, I can imagine few unknown scores more worthy of a release! Where did you locate the mono elements, if I may ask?
Mono or Stereo, this is a score I would love to have on CD. Of course stereo would be preferable, but I cannot imagine anyone who loves beautiful music to not purchase this score on CD if the only way to get it is in mono.
I am doubly pleased that we are shoulder to shoulder on this one. Roger, please consider mono if that is the only way. Later, if you find the stereo elements you can release it again. Hasn't Intrada done that in the past with some of their other releases ?
I'm actually okay with Roger holding out a bit longer to search for stereo elements; I just think it would be a huge shame if he decided to rule out a release altogether just because it'd only be possible in mono.
They held off on putting out the Link reissue for a couple years because they were hoping to find a decent quality source for the complete score, but then when they couldn't find it they still put out the reissue, which was the right thing to do.
I love both you guys and your wonderful tastes in music but respectfully disagree about the mono thing. Personally my spoiled young ears find monophonic recordings almost completely unlistenable, even when the tapes are in good shape, and I can think of few composers whose music would suffer less from a non-stereo treatment than John Scott, given the extremely detailed nature of his orchestrational prowess.
I have waited this score to happen since I saw the mini-series few years ago. Mesmerising, sensual music; one of my most wanted Scott scores yet unreleased. Maestro at his best! And now we´re so close of hearing this properly; what a time we´re living!
This beautiful score was first brought to my attention last October on this board. I am so glad that Roger , who is also a fan of the music of John Scott, has done a search for HAREM. If what I have just read in the posts above is true and things can be worked out, I hope an Intrada release of HAREM in stereo will eventually see the light of day.
