I pounced on the Superman set like Larry Hagman on Valerie Perrine.

Thanks LLL!

Seriously, this is the post of the thread.

Knowing how the early editions sound, this sounds like a rerecording.
Beautiful work.

Thank you very much La-La Land.

The discovery of the original recordings had to do with the movie transfer made for the 4K Blu-ray?

I originally thought I was on the fence about buying another Superman release... who the hell was I kidding?

Is the answer Margot?

Nice surprise pairing for what we all know is the most important release of the day: ARCHER!!! big grin big grin big grin

19 minutes of NEW Goldsmith premiere! Holy cow!

And I didn't realize these "better sources" found for Warning Shot were going to result in *more* music there, as well. I guess I should have, since the earlier release was taken from music stems, which means it wouldn't include any music that went unused. Can anyone who worked on this fine Goldsmith release state what new sources were found to make this fresh edition possible?

Also, just to point out to folks: the Si Zentner album has been omitted from this new issue of Warning Shot, in case you want to hold onto your old edition for it. Of course, I've heard from others on this forum that the Vocalion CD of the Zentner album has superior mastering, so anyone who wants the definitive edition of both albums can use that as a supplement to this new release rather than LLL's original Warning Shot CD.

When I play samples from "Archer", the front cover to "Supergirl" from Varese shows. Is LLLRs trying to tell us something?

I'm not seeing either one of these listed at SAE. Am I missing something?

Dammit. This is ridiculous.

I told my wife that I will be buying Star Wars (I hope) one more time. But that really, I should be done with Superman and Star Trek.

I hate being wrong.

Damn. I thought TRL would be my last soundtrack for awhile. I guess I picked the wrong month to quit LLL releases.

As so many others have said already, this is a a triple dip for me, but still ordered without hesitation. Praise be to the hard-working folks at triple L smile

That international shipping sure does takes the shine off every awesome release though, ouch!

What a spectacular release this is. Iam so relieved that the OST 78 minute album has also been released. The set configuration is exactly how I wanted this to be. On a personal note both the movie and score were gateway to soundtrackdom for me.? All this begins and ends with SUPERMAN for me. Let it be known, it's My favorite soundtrack in the world!

Thank you to LLL, Jim Titus, Neil S. Bulk and Mike Matessino.
