Psycho 3 was the first soundtrack I bought on vinyl in the mid 80´s and now it finally hits CD. I hope it is the complete score and not only the LP transfered over

My gratitude to Intrada is endless. Burwell’s intricate and deeply engrossing score for Psycho III has been my last “oh please, oh please” title on my expansion wish list for many years. Considering that Psycho II remains my favorite score of all time, back in 86 I woulda thought I would have hated the score to III because it is so unlike anything in II in tone, style...everything. Instead, I was mesmerized and haunted by it from the moment the main title music kicked in. And it began my 35-year (and counting) devotion to Carter Burwell’s music which I continue to believe is underappreciated. This new album is a landmark in preserving such a critical section of his legacy. At last to hear all that amazing music that has been previously unreleased. I cannot begin to describe the level of my excitement. Again, many many thanks to you, Intrada. Considering his appreciation for Burwell’s score, I think if Tony Perkins were alive today, he would be delighted about this!

Warm as a Cry for Help was almost the only track I ever listened to on the LP. May need to dig it out and give it a spin soon to remember what else is on there...

Great release, without doubt. And an instant buy for me, because I love Intrada, I thank Intrada, and will forever support their physical CDs (not so their digital releases). However this score is just too weird and inaccessible for my taste. I think it stands too off the saga as a whole, and pales especially in comparison to Goldsmith's genius work for the sequel. I hope now the doors are wide open for more Carter Burwell unreleased scores, especially the really enjoyable ones like The Jackal and The Finest Hours.

I'm very excited about Psycho III. Took me a little while to warm up to it back in the day, but I've grown to love it. Nice companion to Blood Simple. Thanks Intrada!

oh this is SO fantastic! I had the LP, longtime ago, and I still remember that when I saw the movie the first time (in the theater, go figure..) the main title music chilled me to the core. I expected another Herrmannish semi-clone, instead Burwell's approach was totally different, totally unique, and totally worked, for me at least. BTW , I think the movie itself is a little gem, not least because it provides a fascinating, if disquieting, glimpse on the obsession that Anthony Perkins had with this, should I say "his", character.

I hope now the doors are wide open for more Carter Burwell unreleased scores, especially the really enjoyable ones like The Jackal and The Finest Hours. The Finest Hours got an official release though. But yeah, I hope this will lead to releaaes of The Jackal and Fear!

The Finest Hours got an official release though. Digital only. Doesn't count.

The Finest Hours got an official release though. Digital only. Doesn't count. Uhm, yes it does. You may prefer a CD release but that doesn't mean that a digital only release isn't an official release.
