While I agree with some of what Reeve mentions above (we all know about THE ROCKETEER remastering and I also found GLORY and FIELD OF DREAMS a tad underwhelming in the sonic improvement stakes), I think Intrada's expanded re-issues of *BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED, BALTO, AN AMERICAN TAIL and THE LAND BEFORE TIME (off the top of my head) are superb.
THE LAND BEFORE TIME has way too low volume for me. Some parts I could almost not even hear. And it goes up and down in same track. I just find it hard to connect to a score when its not loud enough. And there's a limit for how much you can set the volume up yourself in iTunes before the sound get bad, lol
I much prefer the Intrada edition of THE LAND BEFORE TIME over the old MCA CD release. But yes, it was recorded like one of those old classical recordings (and with all those classical riffs buried within it...why not), but my ears enjoy the Intrada upgrade much more. It wasn't built for i-pod listening though. It needs more robust CD equipment to appreciate it most. It must be all those 'whispering winds'
I revisited this score today. An absolutely enjoyable Horner adventure, I still like it after a 4-5 year hiatus. I'm curious what Intrada will come up with since the original release is not the usual 70-80 minute long disc as was the case with most Horner albums from the '90s onward.

The Rocketeer sounds the same to me. (not a complaint) but I think Glory, FOD, AAT and LBT have markedly improved sound. (to varying decrees)
This is a top three Horner score for me. Maybe it just hit me at the right time in my life, but I fell in love with it from day one. It was a real joy to write the liner notes for this release! Fans should be very well pleased.
I watched this again a few months ago and there are some cool jungle percussion hits associated with the game appearing that aren't, I believe, anywhere on the album. I don't know if this was part of the score or sound design but it would be cool to hear those tracks.
Would have preferred my Tesla stock get back to its high. Or Russia got the hell out of Ukraine. But for now we get Jumangi (after years of hard work to make it happen.). And that’s good.

Honestly it must piss the labels off good style to read the endless 'I want..' comments in announcement threads. Why not just start a thread or contribute to an existing one on the subject. Why can't folk just celebrate what is offered and keep the appropriate threads on track.! Thanks Roger and Intrada
