I am pleasantly surprised by this post. Never thought I'd see a label promoting an expanded release for a Zimmer score. I hope this means certain other 90s titles by the composer might get a chance in the near future too. Especially the early 90s titles, like Backdraft, League of Their Own, or Cool Runnings.

Great release MV, looking forward to Broken Arrow. Listening to the original release now - great early Zimmer score.
Hopefully La-La Land can bring more of Zimmer's early works like League, Backdraft, Thelma & Louise, and Rain Man

I'd jump all over a full release of League of Their Own! Rain Man, however, recently was releasaed by Perseverence. Here's the link at Screen Archives.

I want to give a little plug for Yesterday Was A Lie--it boasts a very sophisticated and atmospheric film noir-style score that really drew me in. The movie is a beautifully produced low budget mix of noir and quantum physics with smoky song performances by Chase Masterson, who has never looked better. She also produced the movie and did an amazing job.

Oh I know it was released. I own it. It would just be nice to see if we could now get one in decent quality smile

Next week when it's released I will be checking out the samples.

I'm glad to see another Hans Zimmer score out of the vaults, but Broken Arrow was never my favorite of his.
As the original album is pretty generous at 60 min long I'm not sure if another 56 min would augment my impression.
On the flip side I am interested on the effects of a remastering. The original album sounds ok, but lacks warmth and clarity. Could a more vibrant sound change my opinion?

Chase Masterson was one of the many fine cast members of Deep Space 9. Although not a core cast member her supporting work as one of the workers in Quark's Bar was very nice.

Broken Arrow certainly wasn't the best action movies I've seen, but I just listened to samples of Milan's current release of the score on Amazon and think I'll give the score another try. I'll also take an expanded release of DAYS OF THUNDER and THE THIN RED LINE as mentioned earlier

Never thought we would see Broken Arrow before a lot of other Zimmer scores. This one is a bit of an enigma in his library of work. The original release is pretty repetitive at its current length. All the same, its a "fun" if not simple score.

Broken Arrow!

One of my favorite scores by Hans Zimmer. Thank you, LLL!

Great News. Broken Arrow is one of my favorite Zimmer scores ... or by any composer for that matter. It's a really cool score, indeed.

I wonder, did La-La Land get Zimmer's blessing on this one... although a big action score, there's also some Morricone influence, or tribute in there as well, so maybe he (Zimmer) is actually a bit proud of this score wink

Really hope it will include the piece(s) from where, and around, Deakins appear again after the crash. That variation of the main (Deakins) theme with some female vocals etc. I've always missed... But if it's more than 30 min. of new material (not counting bonus material) it would seem like it should smile

And with a total time of 116 min., that would mean like 20 (++) min. of bonus material. Would be interesting to see what that is. Hopefully not just "album versions" of the music on the OST, since it's the exact same stuff, only the cues are shortened and/or combined. You had some "punching" sounds added to the mix (in the film too) a couple of places, but don't know if it's worth to include those pieces twice (maybe as segments). But if so, that's fine. Personally I prefer the mixes without those punching sounds...

As for the sound quality (of the original release), I don't think you can improve that much on it, since that had crystal clear sound !

Broken Arrow is my second-favorite Zimmer score, so this is awesome! I have a friend who will be very excited about this as well, and now I can give my old Milan release to my dad. Funny, too, I just recently watched the movie for the first time in several years after buying the Blu-Ray. It looked and sounded fantastic, and it got me playing the CD again after I hadn't listened to it in awhile. And then I read this! big grin

Now I think I'll have a Coke or something. wink

Awesome news about Broken Arrow.

Funny thing is...it came out in cinemas exactly 16 years ago today.

My fave Zimmer score, and one of my fave overall. Soooo many themes, soooo many emotions.

A lot, and I mean A LOT, was left out of the Milan CD, which arranged the score into nasty suites.

Really, really, really looking forward to this.

Now maybe La-La Land can deliver Zimmer's Paperhouse, or some other Media Ventures scores such as Con Air Expanded!

Bravo, MV! I'll be ordering Broken Arrow.

Can't you persuade Zimmer to do Thelma & Louise? wink

How come Broken Arrow does not have autographed copies by the way? Was Zimmer unwilling to collaborate on this one as well?

Zimmer must have rolled his eyes at the thought of expanding an already lengthy 60 minute album.

Broken Arrow was the score to make me despise Hans Zimmer's name on anything for the better part of a decade. Awful, awful "music".

Now all we need are expanded THE ROCK, FACE/OFF, ARMAGEDDON, CON AIR, THE PEACEMAKER, THE LAST SAMURAI, and THE THIN RED LINE.
