Honestly its none of your business how any deals are made, but in the case of Superman Returns that deal was cut before the new renegotiated union rules went active and it was pricey.

Superman Returns: the movie was a mixed bag to me, but what a great score. I bought both editions.

I'm still (patiently) waiting and hoping for a Six Million Dollar Man set. Oliver Nelson's music for that series was just sublime. I don't think of SMDM without also thinking of the music.

You're not the only. There were so many great cues on episodes. Plus, there's Lee Majors singing, "Sweet Jaime." That man can sing. Just gives me goose bumps.

Yes, that's one of the few vintage titles that would bring me out of "collecting retirement" for a big purchase. It's not like I'm buying current scores.

But we don't know if the tapes even exist. And (if necessary) just finding out who controls the Oliver Nelson estate after 46 years might be a challenge. And Universal has to be willing to bother with it. There's still hope, of course.

Are there any "current" scores worth getting? No music on current series seems memorable to me. What I'd love to see is more tv music from seventies coming out. A collection of themes from Petrocelli, Ellery Queen, David McCallum's Invisible Man. The music was dynamic back then.

I suspect LLL is catering to the "big spenders" i.e. the POTTERS.
Those of us whose orders are ' only' 2-3 cds will be last served.

Obviously, yes ...

If “big spenders” are resellers then does LLL only care about moving units to whomever?

LLL, is Titanic still available? It was never listed as low stock - meanwhile Lethal Weapon still shows as low stock but can’t be found on your site.

MV any chance on a complete release for Horner's 2009 Avatar?

Intrada tried to release this a few years ago, but got rejected on account of it being too recent.

Correct...the project was cleared by both Fox and WMG, but the AFM policy doesn't allow for these collector release for anything recorded after August 2005. It's stalled a bunch of projects actually. If the policy changes we'll be able to proceed.

So if 2005 is the cut off, can someone explain how we do not yet have Alan Silvestri's complete Van Helsing?! That was 2004.

Maybe those that can don't want to.

Silvestri's HELSING is a guarantee sellout.

Any title that you can think of expanding is a title that the LLL, Intrada, etc guys have all thought of. Guaranteed. Yes, it would sell out, these labels aren't ignoring what would be big sellers. You, me and others here do not know the complicated legalities that currently keep a title such as VAN HELSING from being expanded, and as was noted above by LLL, it really isn't any of our business. But don't make the mistake of assuming that just because "TITLE XYZ" hasn't had an expanded album release, that the label guys just aren't interested, that is not correct.

Because it's not possible to work on every album project all at the same time.

I'm still waiting for TOP GUN, guys ! frown

MV has mentioned that a couple of times this year. They're waiting on the lead actor to sign off on it.

THIS upstart - Tom Cruise just loves to act on the nerves of many)

No, it's simply because HE is the producer of the film along with Jerry Bruckheimer so he has to sign off on everything this is what happend on Danny Elfman's expanded Mission: Impossible which was delayed for a few years because he had been working on several films back to back to back including two M:I's which are under his production company banner.

Let's hope both Top Gun scores are released this year as promised.

Judging by Roger's response, most likely.
