It looks like there's no longer any listing for Titanic on the LLL site - unsearchable on the site and a Google link to the page just redirects to the LLL homepage. Database issue or surprise OOP? Thanks! Probably out of stock. The same thing happened with Superman last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case here.

and the very last 200 units of VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA – TV SERIES (4-CD SET) are now back in stock at www.lalalandrecords.com Seeing that the set seems to have sold well, is there a possibility for a volume 2? Because that would be a FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC prospect.

I'm still waiting for TOP GUN, guys ! MV has mentioned that a couple of times this year. They're waiting on the lead actor to sign off on it. THIS upstart - Tom Cruise just loves to act on the nerves of many) No, it's simply because HE is the producer of the film along with Jerry Bruckheimer so he has to sign off on everything this is what happend on Danny Elfman's expanded Mission: Impossible which was delayed for a few years because he had been working on several films back to back to back including two M:I's which are under his production company banner. Let's hope both Top Gun scores are released this year as promised. Cruise is listed on IMDB as a producer on the new film, but this seems to be referring to the original, and he's not listed as a producer on that film. I could be wrong, but I think the first Mission: Impossible was the first film of his that he also produced. I would think that for the album for the first film, it's just that he has to sign off on any commercial items that bear his likeness as an actor. Exactly what I said. Cruise definitely has a say if he's involved. As far as the original Top Gun is concerned, he has to sign off on his likeness which is standard for all posters and media related material for all actors. If the actor refuses, the studio can choose to go another route omitting said actor. The best example I can easily think of is "The Watcher" with James Spader and Keanu Reeves which is a very good action thriller. Problem was that Reeves did not want to be in it and tried to leave even after he had signed a contract to be in the film as the films' central villain. Since he could not leave the film and he'd be in breach of contract if he did and at the risk of being sued, he and Universal came to an agreement that he would absolutely do no publicity for the film at all. His likeness was also not to be used on the poster which ended up being a badly photoshopped silhouette with a pair of hands holding up piano wire. Yet, we all knew it was supposed to be him. It's pretty interesting that the Universal DVD and Blu Ray does feature one picture of him. Maybe the studio paid him for that one use of likeness but still the studio put him in an uncomfortable position so, he just retaliated that way. I know Reeves is a very pleasant guy but this must have been a terrible situation to be in. Just thought of this too. The Bad Boys score album by Mark Mancina didn't feature Will Smith and Martin Lawrence either on its' cover. I could only imagine what their use of likeness would've cost at that point or even their approval for that matter. Even the M:I 2 score album didn't have any pictures of Cruise on that one either except for the song/score album which came out the same time as the film. Other score albums that don't use the lead actor or actors that I can think of that use something different at the moment: Carlito's Way Demolition Man (Itunes uses a better digital poster with both Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes) Blade The Siege Mighty Joe Young (1998) Fantastic Four (2005) House of Wax (2005) Flicka xXx I still find it interesting that Cruise would sign off quickly on the artwork for the more recent MI scores by Joe Kraemer and Lorne Balfe, but Elfman's took longer. Perhaps there's more there, but honestly to me, if it got released no matter how long it took, I couldn't care less. Give La-La for hanging in there for it. It was worth it.

I have a feeling that these days, the Top Gun delay probably has more to do with the upcoming sequel (itself being delayed). Isn't that always the case? They don't want customer confusion over the two movies. Surely they will just put a '2' at the end of the title, end of confusion. Even for movie execs.

The existence of TRANSMORPHERS, SNAKES ON A TRAIN, ALIEN VS HUNTER and the like proves absolutely that people are that stupid.
