Not dead. Not sick. Not abducted by aliens and being probed.
Just super busy with royalties, family stuff and prepping as early as possible one of our most ambitious Black Friday slates ever filled with filled with tons of reissues of titles no one wants again and plagued with numerous mistakes to infuriate the OCD crowd.

MV

Good to have you back, MV! I am sure the Black Friday slate will be great as per the previous years. Its always the highlight of the year for me and one of the few days I take off in the year from work (UK).

Of course not, the aliens wuld wipe your memory after probing you.

There's nothing like a good probe.

Hahaha! MV sounds like not being convinced from his upcoming releases. Mhhh... let me guess: a Jerry Goldsmith is planned. Would be nice if it is "Gremlins II".

Two or three months (maybe) without a Goldsmith release ... the Goldsmith Release Express has come to a stop. And is re-stocking the coal, no doubt.

It can be very cleansing.

Don't worry, I'll buy Hook even if it contains mistakes that trigger OCD.

I think Varese Sarabande has that one exclusively. The deluxe cd looks to be OOP, but the vinyl and digital deluxe is still available on their website.

Yes I know. But I prefer a CD-release. I have so much fun with the score for the first movie and so I hope for a re- release, whether it comes from LLL, Varese or Intrada. I think it will happen soon. It's been, I guess, seven years since the last release.

Any chance Alien3 might see a reissue? I feel bad that I wasn’t quite ready to appreciate that one at the time, but would like a second chance.

I have a question about a La La Land release. It's not directed towards MV, but to anyone who bought La La Land's Star Trek die-cut single released in 2016 (catalogue # LLLLP2001). Does anyone else find that both sides of the single are unplayable?

I had problems playing both sides of the single with our previous record player. I did get them to play in the end (I can't remember how). However, some months back, we replaced our record player with a new one. Today I tried to play this single, and the record player simply refuses to play it. If I move the arm over to the lead-in groove and try to lower the stylus onto the record, the player lifts the arm up and to the right and back onto the support. It does this with both sides of the single, which essentially means that the single is unplayable. Does anyone else have this problem?

I just saw the newsletter in my email from late last night. Celebrating Batman TAS 30th for September - all BTAS sets are going oop and are on sale until the end of the month.

If you don't have these - highly recommend, these are shining gems in my collection.

Due to the shape of the record, the grooves are cut very close to the center. Since your turntable has auto-return it's set to lift the stylus in this area.
