WOW ! This looks so fantastic. Thinking of 40's Rozsa, ROOSTER COGBURN, NIGHT PASSAGE,THE LAST SUNSET,CAPTAIN NEWMAN M.D., THE GREAT IMPOSTER, MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR, MADIGAN,RESURRECTION and so many more that others have mentioned already or will mention on this thread. Are there 40's material that can be salvaged ? How about 1939's DESTRY RIDES AGAIN or 1943's FLESH AND FANTASY ? Am I dreaming too big?

I'll buy all of those titles Cody, especially the 40s Rozsa. Don't forget Hans Salter and Frank Skinner. I don't know if too much exist from the 30s and 40s.

This is the greatest news since Lukas Kendall's FSM opened up the 20CF and MGM vaults so many years ago.

Since Intrada started releasing Universal and Disney...

I think Lukas was also a big help with the Paramount scores too!

Didn't someone recently comment on a dearth of Universal titles? wink

This is just a sampling of what is in store. Golden age, silver age, modern and yes, eventually tv!!!

MV

Exciting - perhaps there is hope for a release of WHEELS by Morton Stevens - my Universal - TV holy grail!

This is wonderful news. Can't wait for Colossus, Zenda and those Airports.

And Universal TV...that will be a lovely day when those start coming out (and not just Columbo and Kolchak, though those are at the top of my list).

Universal TV would be most welcomed, especially from the 60s.

Truly incredible and wonderful news. I was just sitting here feeling a bit 'down in the dumps' because so many releases have come out from the Labels recently that are just not for me for various reasons (delighted of course to see other folks being pleased!) and now comes this bombshell from one of the Great Studios, in conjunction with one of our Great Labels!!! I just feel very happy and thrilled by the initial titles mentioned and knowing it's going to keep getting better and better as time goes on, wow, the mind boggles! Congratulations to everyone concerned and best wishes for immense future success with this most welcome endeavor!

Come on Night Gallery!

That comment about "locating assets" is worrisome.

It is super exciting. Maybe you'll finally get a Rozsa score on the label as you've long been wanting, eh MV? wink (Presuming some of those 40s tapes have survived long enough to be helped by this preservation project...)

Yavar

Yes, a Rozsa score would be supremely welcome for me. And even if the 40's scores are too far gone, they can always go for A Time to Love and a Time to Die, which I am particularly curious for.

Awesome news about Airport '77!!!

And let's not forget Elmer's Thoroughly Modern Millie. I'm sure that's definitely on the list!

The Mancini "Prisoner of Zenda" is a score I've wanted since I recorded the music off its HBO airing. Looking forward to it!

FLETCH LIVES!! Most excited for this one. Curious about FLETCH though... wonder why the original was not mentioned...

I would guess because there was never any album release for FLETCH LIVES so no other rightsholders to deal with besides the studio.
