I'm sure Batman is one of the titles, especially if Elfman is going to be there at Comic Con. It's very possible the reason why it would be limited is because the OST is still in print.

I wonder if they will have any signed copies available for people not able to attend the convention. Hope so.

That's possible. Maybe MV tried to get it to be unlimited but Sony / Warner Brothers said no, however he was allowed to press more than 5,000 because of Comic Con. Especially with his comment saying, "There will be more than enough for those of you ordering online."

Almost similar to what Intrada was able to do with Back To The Future.

I shall be at the Elfman and Behind the Music thingy, hopefully.

How can you miss it?! I will sure be there!

I think MV just volunteered to be the designated place-in-line holder. The rest of us can go enjoy some cocktails until he shines the Bat Signal. Don't worry, MV, I'll smuggle one back in for ya.

Keeping with the Biblical theme, is it possible the hint for the other release involves God in some way? big grin

Yeah, that's what I meant. I doubt the other title will be Trek V (three Trek releases in three months?) and at this point, I'm open to anything. smile

It would be awesome, but for my bank accounts sake, I'm hoping its some weird obscure soundtrack from some movie ive never heard of. After a month that included Star Trek, Star Trek 3, Speed 2, The Edge, Spartacus, Inception and now Batman...well....um..yeah.

Here's something I noticed when watching the movie way too many times
(in whole or in part) as an usher at the late, lamented U.A. Meadowbrook in 1989:

. . . Just wondered if anyone here picked up on it.

(Anyone know what the screenplay actually said?)

Well if Batman is the 5000 title Star Trek V better not be the 3000 title -- way too few for a Trek score.

And I too am surprised that Batman wouldn't be unlimited as Star Treks II and III were -- it's just as major a score, and it was recorded in England so the reuse fees would be comparatively small.

Yavar

If the 2nd title is Trek V mabye this would be 5,000 units and Batman 3,000? Or maybe MV is planning Batman 5,000 & Batman/Robin 3,000. That would be great!!

No matter what MV we are all looking forward to these 2 special releases @ Comic-Con big grin

Come out to the coast... we'll get together... have a few laughs.

This coming Saturday at midnight, STAR TREK V will be playing at the Laemmle Royal in West L.A. - a 70mm print. Any locals who want to hear Goldsmith's score in a theatre again should drop by...

Original Music by Jack Elliott

Oh, God! Book II (1980)
Original Music by Charles Fox

Oh, God! You Devil (1984)
Original Music by David Shire

Wasn't there supposed to be a big, hotly-anticipated Kamen release . . . ?

"Die Hard" would sell 3,000 copies easy, wouldn't it?

Is MV dropping clues with this "God" talk? So far I've discerned "God" and "complex" from his posts.

Well I guess if we see MV'a avatar cartoon of that monkey dressed as a giant bat standing in the Enterprise's transporter room, we're good to go eh. Or the monkey with a tank top standing on top of a building.
