The score is gorgeous in stereo on the blu-ray and it's gorgeous in mono on the soundclips. It's a wonderful, hypnotic Barry score.
I would say that if the end credits is different in the film version as is the Shark Attack I wouldn't - AND NOW I speak witout knowing the details - have mind that the music was extracted from the film stem (rear channels with dialogue maybe) and included as two bonus tracks - if that's the only way to present these cues then do it this way - La La did it with Seconds
And Varese Sarabande took the revised music for HANOVER STREET from the film stem becaurse that was the only solution.
It isn't that bad with the dialogue and sound effect if it is the only source.
Can't wait to hear this release - Ordered it along HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS, HONEY, I SKRUNK THE KIDS and HOLLY vs. HOLLYWOOD (D. Fake).
Wow, what a surprise ... especially after all of those years of reading that the master tapes are lost, etc. So, shall I buy it? Pro's and con's ....
Con's: I have many, many CDs already, far too many to listen to in a year Many of that collection are albums by/of John Barry I already have an excellent CDr transfer of the original LP I have the DVD if I want to hear the OST I have huge financial outgoings ... a very expensive holiday (just back from Budapest & Prague) and credit card bills to pay I need to buy a new PC I came home to find weather damage to the house and garden which I need to deal with Work, for the last couple of years, has been on the slow side ... less income With effect from tomorrow, my wife is reducing her work to four days a week with the resultant reduction in income My investments are looking rather poor after a few weeks in which I'd seen modest gains (my biggst single investment halved in value on the day I returned from holiday due to a cash-flow warning)

In fairness to other users of the forum, I think we Barry fans can now shut up about being unlucky. At least for a while. How does the saying go? "The sun shines on every dog's arse some day." Cheers
What an odd expression. It's certainly not a very flattering way of referring to Barry fans.
12 hours passed and still no ominous LESS THAN 300 COPIES REMAINING! warning. Maybe this time I can take it easy. My forecast is : sold out within 3 weeks. Lorenz

I think it would be three days if it was all stereo, having said that the mono clips do sound very good.

I'm not especially a Barry fan (though I certainly ordered The Deep), but even so I also thought that was an odd expression (though I didn't see it as an 'affront' to Barry fans - just a peculiar expression...).
Is the 'Orca' release on Legend anyway near complete, now that you've mentioned it?
The current release is 37 min long, so my guess would be no plus the Legend label has recently been "reactivated" with the first-ever release of "Fraulein Doktor" and a newly expanded remastered reissue of "Red Tent" (La Tenda Rossa), so there's hope
