Ransom was a Disney release. Definitely Intrada territory.

Police Academy 2 discs containing best cues from the saga big grin

The 'Crime doesn't pay' clue would certainly bear that out...

I'm gonna be really disappointed now if this doesn't happen. smile

There doesn't seem to be as much speculation this year compared to last year but I guess that's what happens when a 15-disc Star Trek set gets all the attention!

I'm calling it for the following:

Star Trek: TOS Collection
Police Academy - 3000 copies
Home Alone 2: 20th Anniversary Edition - 3500 copies
Lethal Weapon - 4000 copies

I'm probably completely wrong, though.

In 2009, I bought 2 out of 3 titles. In 2010, it was 3/4. Last year, it was 2/4. Maybe this year, it'll be 4/4!

It could very well happen since it's not owned by Varese.

Whoops the original score is released by Fox Records so you are right

I would love to see Michael Kamen's The Dead Zone get an expanded release. That would fit the crime doesn't pay clue. Though I'm not any good at these guessing games.

have to say not super excited by a lot of this conjecture. not that it will be right. i'm all over star trek but i'm worried that the rest of these releases might be substantially less exciting due to that megarelease. we shall have to wait and see.

Whats to worry about???

Everyone has their favorites. The Trekkies will continue their five year mission while the Caped Crusader's and John McClaine's will relive there adventures equally. It's a win win for the Triple L this year. They are going to make some serious bank!

I can't see Police Academy warranting two discs. That would more than likely be better suited as a box set with all of the films.

I can see two or three discs. If I recall, the first film has more songs than score and I'm pretty sure the POS seventh film (Mission to Moscow which was direct-to-video in the US) recycles material from the first six.

This is one series where I'd be happy with a compilation featuring all the major set pieces and variations of the theme. smile

The other 3 titles all have one thing in common: Crime doesn't pay!

LLLCD 1232 - 2 CD SET (Limited edition of 3000 units) - $24.98
LLLCD 1233 - 2 CD SET (Limited edition of 4000 units) - $29.98
LLLCD 1236 - 2 CD SET (Limited edition of 3500 units) - $24.98

Perhaps CRIME DOESN'T PAY has a double meaning. What if it means crime movies where finance is the motive. just a thought but I have some ideas:

Die Hard With A Vengeance (motive: rob the federal reserve)

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (rob the rich, give to the poor)

Catch Me If You Can (counterfeiting)

The Untouchables (tax evasion)

Heat (bank robbery)

Wall Street (embezzling)

Inside Man (bank robbery, again)

Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen (casino heists)

A Simple Plan (stolen ransom money)

Ransom (the title says it all)

just a few thoughts/suggestions. what do you think?

Would be awesome if the first two were included. After DH2 I am on a Kamen high. Falling over his music all over again.

It can't be Wall Street. The Varese releases had to be paired with other scores (Salvador the first time, Talk Radio the second) due to the short length.

All this speculation is going to leave some bitterly disappointed fan boys later this week.

I don't think I've seen so much giddied jumping to conclusions.

LaLaLand would be doing everyone a favour announcing their titles to stop some of their customers underwear laundry bills spiralling out of control.

Can't say all these "crime theme" hints excite me to much. Considering the price of the TOS box set, I would actually be happy if nothing else interests me this time around.

True. This set will have my attention and money BUT if these other titles interest me I will get them anyway. Plus its fun to support the labels and the hard work that they do. I do however find myself wondering if Varese is jumping on the Black Friday bandwagon this year.
