Hey there lalaland!

I was just wondering whether smallville score performed well enough for additional cds? Thought there were so many great tracks missed out, would be fantastic to see more.

Also has there ever been any thought given to John m keanes score for C.S.I? Had some great pieces!

Thank you

Bit of a daft question but just wondering which title it is that is being held up because of Tom Cruise: LLLCD 1411 or 1435? And why is the other one being delayed? Just being my usual nosey self. smile

1411 is delayed due to TC, but it's not Top Gun!

Methinks* this will be an expanded INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE

* Total guess pulled straight from my buttocks

Other guesses: War of the Worlds, Mission: Impossible, Legend...

Ooohhhhh... a definitive Mission: Impossible by Danny Elfman, perhaps? Would be a great addition to the series of superb Elfman expansions LLL has done.

Unless it's Born on the 4th of July?

1411 is delayed due to TC, but it's not Top Gun! That issue is being resolved as I type.

We will hopefully have it out this summer.

Cool - thanks for the clarification, MV! smile

I'd be shocked if it were that as it's an Elliot Goldenthal title, and it seems like the composer has denied any of his works from being tackled by the labels.

I'm leaning toward one of the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE films (most likely the first one) or BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY.

Born on the Fourth of July would be great, too!

I don’t believe that’s true at all. “Pet Semetary” and “Batman Forever” we’re both issued by LLL. The big issue with Goldenthal is that WB is holding a grudge against him for his “300” lawsuit.

Cruise was also not a producer of Interview. He was with Mission, so its more likely because of that also not being Interview.

Yes, it would be great, though i'd prefer the other Cruise/Williams score: FAR AND AWAY, since the former is a bit repetitive.

Fuck yeah, BEVERLY HILLS COP 3!

Actively in the works or just on the cards?

Schiffy, you're probably right about that, but since you sorta work in the business, how many 'administrations' at WB need to come and go before something like that would be forgotten?

Where is the farthest you (or a producer at another label) have had to travel in search of physical master tapes?

What about ALIEN 3? That's not WB, and wasn't there some kind of issue interfering there too?

MV,

Apologies if this has been previously asked, but you had mentioned Golden Age projects..

Any chance of working with Universal Studios for some of the classic horror film scores? The acetates to 1942's Ghost Of Frankenstein exist as does Franz Waxman's Bride Of Frankenstein. It's niche, but some great great music!

Thanks for all that you guys do!

Reportedly, those tapes are lost. Maybe they'll be found someday, as whatever it is MV is referring to here was:

MV, can you recount any strange stories on where a recording was found or discovered? Do you have a favorite moment, or surprise find? (*and are any of those still in the works)?

Thanks!

Actually one that will be out soon

The problem, for LLL at least, is that it's a Fox film, which would mean the tapes would probably have to be found almost immediately to beat LLL's end-of-year finish line. (I'm guessing Intrada would be interested, though, if those tapes showed up.)

Will LLL not be able release any Fox titles after 2018?

All depends on whether Disney is ready to do Monkey business or not, I know LLL is ready - Disney on the other hand:

I don't think they know what will happen after Disney takes ownership.

Might well be business as usual or it might be that only Intrada will have access to Fox titles.

Hopefully nothing changes! No one gives better treatments and respect to score releases like LLL do!
