Forgive me, but some questions:
- is it mono or stereo (just interesting, 'cause this day mono scores sounds as good as stereo one);
- how complete this set is? Read it as - does it contain ALL music from all seasons or just "the best of from all seasons" (and if it will sell good, we can do another volume) or it contain all music that survive after all that years?

This set won't self-destruct after five minutes upon arrival, will it?

Are you freakin' serious?! Oh well, there goes the budget (again), lol!

edit: and probably no accident that this goes live the same weekend as "MI: Rogue Nation", right? smile

Amazing release! I was wondering why no one had revisited M:I, but this looks stellar. I'm in! Looks like the set is in part modelled on the TOS box with one master booklet and two season-specific booklets.

My one fanboy hope for this set is that Benny Golson will also be represented.

99% is in mono. All tracks were hand picked by producer Jon Burlingame. There are 7 years of material there. If we were to do a complete set it would dozens and dozens of discs and a lot of repetition. lol

Wow, this is awesome. I'm a little shocked at the price tag for a 6 CD set (yes, I know getting 6 individual CDs would be $120, but usually there's more of a price break for these multi disc sets), but I'm sure I'll end up getting this eventually. I'm guessing the fancy packaging and (probably even more likely) restoration costs contributed to this costing $100, and I think that's money well spent.

This series has awesome music and I trust Jon Burlingame to pick the best of it.

Major kudos on doing this, MV!

There are 7 years of material there.

Good thing the final season only had two original scores!

Will all the composers who worked on the show be represented?

I say again: This is a golden age for soundtrack fans.

The quantity, and variety, of historical material now being released is something we could never have expected twenty years ago.

My thanks, and sincere appreciation, to all involved.

Holy shit!

took the words right out of my orifice. Wish I had an interest in the music.

This set won't self-destruct after five minutes upon arrival, will it?

that's one way to boost sales.

Wasnt there an earlier, informal announcement about a classic TV series release? Would this be that release?
