It's been so long since this show last aired, not only do I keep forgetting that new episodes will be running soon but for me it now feels like a show from a completely different era!
Sad. Wait forever for a third season and we're going to get for sure a "Ted" series. Very sad.

Didn't they build all new sets for the third season? What a waste of money for a single season. Between moving to a paid service and falling two years behind because of Covid they've probably lost a large percentage of audience they had.
People on both sides of the production have said season four is "TDB" (to be discussed") and that they are waiting for season three to be released and see how it does.
Oh, and as posted by another user in another thread:
Just got a mail from Lalaland with super bargain on THE ORVILLE Season 1 and Season 2: They are selling it now for a small 10$ each! (although season 2 seems out of stock!?)
Two episodes of the new season were released today, but you have to be a subscriber of Hulu and/or Disney+ to see them -- not even one free view like Hulu did with the first two seasons. so, I can't tell you a thing about them, including who scored each episode.
Orville puts Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Disneys + Obi-Wan series to shame! Those two shows are god awful and a joke. Orville was intelligent, deep and complex without being negative or depressing. The spirit of adventure and team play was still there even though they were dealing with difficult issues and a ship divided in the season opening.
The music was symphonic and yes it will remind you of Goldsmith and Williams. The score was adventurous and in the front. It worked wonders in the episode. My only partial critique is it sounded a bit like orchestral noodling not really developing a thematic drive. Worked great in the episode but not sure how it will sound on its own.
Sadly it appears they've gone exclusively to CGI for the third season. While the opening battle was pretty impressive the rest of the CGI in the series just looks to busy and dark. Hopefully it won't look that way for the rest of the series.
This maybe the best written episode of the series and they spend the entire episode in dry-dock!
