This is in actual fact my favorite score from Bernstein. I remember wanting to give the album a listen right after having first seen the film, which I honestly ended up enjoying a lot more than I thought I would.
Just managed to pick up a copy of The Sood Son online. Still listening to it on the first run through. Elmer Bernstein is always worth a listen in my book (I'm fortunate to have an almost complete collection of his soundtracks now) but as others have commented this is definitely one of the best from his later years.
I guess since we never saw Devil in a Blue Dress back in 2018 that it's got stuck permanently somewhere. A pity if so.
