This week's suite. And a note about further suites, afterwards. "The Red Hand Gang" https://youtube.com/watch?v=bCKaGutnjGU Suite #4 -- the final suite. Normally I would have to tell you the disappointment that you can't own any of the scoring of this and that TV show and indeed -- when I started making the suites a year ago -- I thought you couldn't, too. However, when searching in vein for who did the score cues for the show (BMI and ASCAP only list Score Productions, Inc. President Bob Israel for cues), I found you can download the score to the show and well as a shit-ton of cues from other television shows Score Productions, Inc. did: https://tvpmmvault.com/sitemap/sitemap.html#gsc.tab=0 (see IMPORTANT NOTE at end!!!) Just look at that list -- it doesn't end. News themes, radio music, films, televisions series such as "The Virginian" and "Police Story", and more. It's a monthly paid subscription, but they say on the site that they have (I couldn't relocate it, so I am doing this from memory) over 44,000 cues or over 44,000 minutes of music. I decided to plow ahead and continue making the suites even though you can get the music, because I had already put a shit-load of effort into it, but also I think they act as samplers to encourage those who do online download purchases, to go buy them. Still, properly remastered scoring from this show needs to be done. I hope some label has been listening to the suites and is considering it... IMPORTANT NOTE: Thanks to another member who took the plunge, we now know the site just has a collection of opening and closing themes to various TV series, news themes, radio, etc. But there is a lot of unreleased stuff. So, the suites I made are EXTRA important -- it's the only way to hear the scoring as SFX free as possible, now. Some label needs to rectify this! NOTES: While going through the flash derive and editing down suites from "Get Christie Love!" and "City of Angels" (I haven't gotten to "The Rookies" yet) and lowering score from 32-bit to 16-bit where I don't think I need 23-bit (which cuts track file size in half), I have managed to free up enough room so far to maybe make three more suites.

What to expect from next week's suites (which will be on Tuesday instead of the normal Monday). If all goes well, the long-ago promised flying suites for "Greatest American Hero". As previously stated, I wanted to edit together in some sort of listenable experience, cues from when Ralph was flying around, breaking things, crashing, etc. There are two suites and Sunday I have to finish one of them so hopefully both next week. And that will conclude work on that series.

I've been in a foul mood and not really wanting to talk much for a few months now and I've barely checked my e-mail and often don't even click on messages. I promise to anyone that sent me one and I didn't reply, I will get back to you later today.

Thierry Schreurs: Not either of those. Later work. MRAUDIO: Got it. :-)

The Holdridge score is from a later-career television series. When you hear the original theme, you'll understand this off-the-path choice.

This week's suite. And a note about next week's suite, afterwards. "BOB" Composer: Lee Holdridge https://youtube.com/watch?v=HBa3lS6r9Xs In an attempt to have yet another Bob Newhart comedy series, in 1992 "BOB" premiered. The show lasted two seasons. Bob was the creator of a comic called Mad Dog and worked at a comic publishing company. And to note the comic aspect, and entire opening credits was done to make sure you understand that's the premise of the show, down to the original superhero theme created by Holdridge. Using the theme, Lee created a many variations for transition cues and opening episode cues. I thought this was worth of preserving and bringing to you. I have also included the opening and closing theme. This suite covers all of season one. Very few cues skipped. I accidentally rendered the video with a cue that was re-used; I was going to lay them over each other and edit them to come up with a cleaner version, but simply forgot and already finished it all and decided to not go back. For season two the series was revamped and the entire superhero aspect was dropped (the season one finale, indeed, had everyone fired and Mad Dog discontinued). The show became yet another home-based comedy like his other shows, and a new shorter more Christmas-y theme was done by Holdridge. There is nothing wrong with the new theme or the scoring, I am just skipping it to concentrate on other series. NEXT WEEK: I bring a short suite (less than eight minutes) by Dominic Frontiere. More clues later this week.

Did some editing on the old "The Rookies" suites, come up with so far (not done yet) another three gigabytes. So far I have recorded a suite for a series by Elmer Bernstein. Still deciding on what to do with the other space. The Bernstein suite will be put up the 20th. Kind of thinking since there's only one episode not up (so far) for "Hunter" (1976) and that I already did some suites, I might as well finish the series.

The suite for Frontiere is an episode of a TV series thought to be lost, but last year an episode popped up. It wasn't great to look at -- like a wow ridden 16mm projector copy that's been in storage for years -- but it's all there is. I have spent all the time I am going to spend on it, trying to fix the wow and correct audio blip jumps. I have also included the opening and closing theme by another composer, simply because there are no videos of the theme on YouTube, so my suite will be a first. Well, hope you enjoy this super duper rarity Monday.

This week's suite. With a bonus. "The Silent Force" Composer: Dominic Frontiere Theme Music by: George Duning https://youtube.com/watch?v=ZqCssWBqt8s So rare that in all these years no episodes ever appeared, then last year one wow-ridden, poor 16mm looking copy surfaced on YouTube, so I ripped it. See my above post for further details. MICELLANEOUS:

Initial clues for next week's suite: Elmer Bernstein. Selections from presumably all the episodes of a TV series he worked on.

Is there any interest in suites for the old cop TV series "240-Robert"? I can only cover season one. I'm going to need more than one or two people commenting to propel me to this.
