But wasn't it "Romeo and Juliet" time-traveled to the 50's? So that would make them high school age, right?

Maybe they were all high school dropouts, roaming the streets instead of reading books.

I don't think they were in High School. I always wondered whether Tony was Italian? Any ideas?

I don't think they were in High School. I always wondered whether Tony was Italian? Any ideas? He's meant to be Polish-American. Tony is short for Anton.

Was it ever explained in WEST SIDE STORY? Is the Dance at the Gym their High School Gym or is it a Community Dance just held there? John Astin ("Glad Hand," who was conducting the dance at the gym) was a social work type who seemed to be working on behalf either of the city or some non-governmental social services organization addressing the social ills of the city. The lyrics of "Gee Officer Krupke" address a "kindly social worker" rather than a guidance counselor or any other school-related helping person, suggesting that they were involved with the adult system. Gym was a community venue for a social event for the young folks, imo. School not mentioned anywhere I recall in the original WSS. It is also difficult for me to answer this question. We didn't live at that time. Let everything that was in high school stay there. I have enough of my problems now, I recently wrote for the university about diversity, I used https://studymoose.com/free-essays/diversity for this. I want to say that all this was in the 1960s. It is better to ask those who know really about it. Thanks for information

I fondly remember when I was in high school. This is the best time. Being in college, I also want to feel all the freedom of student life. That's why I turn https://www.essaywritinglab.co.uk/write-my-essay/ to First, I liked that they have friendly support who always answered all my questions and solved any problems I had. But the main thing for me personally is that there is a strict policy against plagiarism. That is, I received an absolutely unique paper. This is great.
