In stock at Amazon FR

I had ordered from Amazon in June and finally last week they cancelled the order.

I then ordered it directly from the label and it showed up at my desk in 6 days.

(I've also noticed some Amazon packages getting permanently stuck in transit lately, though I don't know for sure it's their fault. Still annoying).

Amazon cancelled my order as well. Interestingly enough, since it was part of their AutoRip program, I have had the digital album since ordering the CD from Amazon and it did not get removed when my order was cancelled. I also ordered the CD from the label and it did arrive.

Had you downloaded it prior to them cancelling your order? If you did...they more than likely took the digital copy money out of your refund. I do not have the digital copy in my music any longer.

I'd also pre-ordered iam8bit's Archer score LP in the spring from Amazon. That order is still pending, while the iam8bit site says that LP is a sold out pre-order due in first quarter 2024 - I'll be pleased but surprised if Amazon actually has it for me when the time comes.

I downloaded the album the same day I ordered it. As for being charged, I don't see any sign of it. Amazon usually doesn't charge you until the product has shipped and it never did, so it appears to have been simply cancelled without my being charged anything.

I can't imagine Amazon doing this. I've ordered many CDs where they offered the digital copy and have never seen any language that implies they will (granted I haven't actually downloaded anything because why would I download their lossy copy when I'll be ripping the CD to lossless?)

Hell it might not even be legal. The digital copy is a bonus they offer you after you pay for the CD, it's not part of the purchase.

NB: based on the track listings on that site, the physical media will be missing track 1 of the digital album. Not that I personally liked the score enough to double dip anyway.

That's not correct. All 3 physical editions (CD, vinyl, cassette) simply move the Opus track down to be in between "Courting the Kongs" and "Drivin’ Me Bananas" instead of opening the program with it.

Oops! My bad. I saw it had one fewer track, and didn’t know they had reshuffled a few. The CD is missing track 32 of the digital, Mario Brothers Rap

And... Suddenly sold out with no warning. Just got a copy from eBay. I assume with a fan following like Mario, this'll soon be going for big buck.
