Can anyone tell me if the music used during the montage of film clips, when Chaplin receives his academy award, is available anywhere? Best regards, Derek

Thanks for the reply, however I think this track is featured when the "what happened to each character" captions are shown. It then goes in to the end title, as you rightly stated. The music I am after is immediately before the track you have posted and features the medley covering the clips shown from Chaplin's films and ends with the scene from "The Circus" Regards,

That music during that clip is not available as all it was was snipets of Chaplins own film scores put together. Everyone loves his Smile tune, but one cue from, I think The Circus which I think is outstanding, is the cue that plays during the final scene, when he picks up a paper and then kicks it with his shoe and then walks away. Just gorgeous on so many levels.

Mr Kelly - my thanks! drivingmissdaisy - You're absolutely right, the piece of music you refer to is indeed from The Circus, being both the final scene from that film and from "Chaplin". My own favourite piece of music is that used from The Kid. I believe you are correct in that the music is a medley put together from various Chaplin films. I was hoping there may have been a recording of it knocking around somewhere!

There are some short cues missing from the CD such as the newsreel shot of immigrants ferrying past the Statue of Liberty and thd passage of time sequence where Chaplin falls asleep late in the film. But I don't think it's a massive amount of missing in minutes and the album is well designed as is. An expanded and remastered CD perhaps recreating the aforementioned academy awards medley would be most welcome but I can think of higher priorities. Cheers
