I'm stubborn and still holding out hope that LLL will release the complete remaining (surviving) Korngold recordings in a box set, produced by Lukas Kendall.

Your optimism brings us a faint glow of hope. But I doubt we'll be so lucky.
As you say, individual disc cost compared to the bigger FSM Ron Jones set is much higher, but it's also true that the new LLL set is the exact same price as the equivalent-sized 8CD FSM Superman set. For them to sell 3000, maybe we should be thinking of always-in-demand Williams kind of territory here too?
If there's anything about the FSM Jones box that's relevant to this one, perhaps it's just the name "Jones"... as in Indiana Jones?

TFTC has a little something for everyone with all the composers attached to it. I like the scores to every episode. Conti's MANIAC AT LARGE being my favorite obviously. I'd buy the set for that one alone! But that's me. I understand not everyone feels the same. LETHAL WEAPON would be cool too, but 8 discs for that seems excessive to me since the scores for all 4 movies don't sound that different.

I have a feeling this is going to be scores from the classic twilight zone and scores from the 80's revival ...

Are we allowed to order titles next Friday or do we have to wait until the following week?

8 discs of Kamen Lethal Weapon sounds boring...and one disc/movie is enough...
I rather take an eight disc box with various composers as that will be a great variation of music and TFTC has many great episodes with awesomeness... BRING IT ON...

Hi David! If it is TFTC I think you'll love it, it's got great music. And it does have variety.

LETHAL WEAPON (franchise) doesn't need 8 CDs... probably 5 or 6
What is the possibility that some tracks were recycled throughout the four films?

TALES FROM THE CRYPT
Would be fantastic, but is 8CDs enough?
Didn't this series run about 7 seasons?
Maybe it might all fit, one disc per season plus extras?

Does anything else deserve a 8CD box set?

I said earlier, a ROCKY set would be cool. Especially for ROCKY V and BALBOA. While I want every note Conti composed for the ROCKY movies, ROCKY V and BALBOA has noticeably different music than the first three movies for those who want variety. I however want ROCKY 1-3 too.smile

Hmmmmmm
ROCKY
Again, like with LETHAL WEAPON, 8CDs seem too much for 5 scores
Now while Parts 3, 5 & 6 are largely unreleased...
The complete scores, I'd imagine, should be relatively brief.
Being dramas, I don't foresee lengthy action cues or extended intimate moments.
Perhaps if Conti recorded lots of alternate takes, etc.

I agree. But I was thinking maybe 5 discs for the unreleased material, and 3 more discs for the remastered original soundtracks?

We can probably rule out anything from Spielberg/Lucas.

There's also the possibility of a Mel Brooks/John Morris set. I'm hoping for some kind of Kubrick set myself. smile

On Facebook, M.V. wrote:

"After toiling on it off and on for nearly 4 years -- searching high and low for every scrap of music we could find and going through endless amounts of clearances -- our 8 disc Box Set is finally approved and off to the printers (and then to manufacture)."

Endless clearances. So... multiple composers? Songs? Something re-released where the studio owns X and the record label owns the rights to Y?
