Then I would go to Kev McGann's replacement website and pray that he didn't let that crazy British fellow named Bill C. register.

My only worry if the FSM board was put to rest is the loss of all my writings over the last 20 years. I've put a lot of my creative writing into some of these posts and threads over the years, and I would at the very least hope for a warning in advance so that I could find and save the material.
Other than that, I'm not too worried. Either someone would start a new board, or the membership would migrate elsewhere, like we did in 2000 when we all went over to moviemusic.com after the board was down for several months. Plus, I thankfully have other film music boards I frequent, maintitles.net being my "primary home" anyway.
I always forget about maintitles.net, after all these years I should really just register there and start posting.

I would fly to wherever Thor lives and become his roommate, just so he could keep me up to date on the state of Film Music. Let me know if it happens so I can make reservations and notify The God of Thunder that I'm on my way.
Howard, those topics from moviemusic certainly brought back a lot of memories. I liked that board but I tended to post more at FSM when this board was fixed. PeterK was great as were the other posters. I did get a kick out of some of the posters who thought the influx of FSMers would invite a plague of leprosy. Most of us behaved ourselves, but a few bad apples did arrive.
I've thought about this myself. It's very unpleasant to think about losing all of this history. Do we have a reason behind the slowness of the site? Storage? Money?
If Lukas pushed the Off button tomorrow, it would leave a big hole in my life. I guess I'd go find the Intrada forum and look for familiar posters. And I'd ask what we're doing. It might mean I have to join FaceBook, finally having no choice.
