If Lukas pushed the Off button tomorrow, it would leave a big hole in my life. I guess I'd go find the Intrada forum and look for familiar posters. And I'd ask what we're doing. It might mean I have to join FaceBook, finally having no choice.

As long as I have ZapBrannigan's email, I'm totally cool. big grin

Seriously without FSM or a forum dedicated to film/television music, I would probably miss out on a lot of new releases. I don't see myself checking out every labels website on a regular basis for new releases.
Though I know most of email newsletters.

I'd be a lost soul. I'm so used to reading the postings of all of you, it would be a big hole in my (perhaps) empty life. I honestly don't know what other site I'd go to.... frown

Ironically I would miss the Non-Film Score Discussion Forum most of all! Especially Dragon53's entertainment posts!

Since this thread reminds us of the fact that life is short and precious, let's take the opportunity to post thoughts or questions that we wouldn't otherwise post.

Divide and conquer.

I have film music sources and communities spread all over the internet. If one would disappear others will still be there. ;-)

Actually, I already spend more time on this board...

http://www.andyfilm.com/mboard/

It's not exactly a film music board (there is a movie discussion board, and a "general chit chat" board where we often discuss soundtracks.

It has a smaller membership than FSM -- but there are fewer problems with uncongenial trolls and demeaning know-alls.

I've never been to that board, but what you describe is why maintitles.net is my favourite film music board on the internet. Sure, it's not as active as this place, but it's moderated well and fair. Even political and religious discussions are allowed, and it rarely becomes nasty. As I usually say: If FSM is the big disco that everybody goes to, MainTitles is the small pub on the corner where "everybody knows your name".

There are certain individuals in this forum that wouldn't last a week there; their behaviour is simply not tolerated. I'd love to see them try, though.

Paul, that Andy Dursin site looks just like the Intrada forum, but less lived in smile
The only other site I've bothered with is the Intrada one, but not that much.
I don't do fakebook or quitter, so I would probably hang out at Intrada if the wheels ever came off here.

It escalates; MM strikes back:

An uneasy partnership develops:

Yours Truly finally caves:

I know I can't be the only person to have felt an old facial tic return reading posts by and about DANIEL2.

Losing a forumn has already happened once when rec.movies.music went away. We'd survive.
I would like to help LK keep it going though.

Did I miss the memo or something? Apart from the fact that everything eventually ends (including yours truly) I have seen nor heard of any mention that this website is folding. So is this just paranoia or based on information that Lukas put out there?
Oh and yes, PornHub is a definite vote. In fact, I probably spend way too much time there as it is.
But seriously, you guys have way too much time on your hands and you should spend it at PornHub. Just listen to more soundtracks guys.
Strange Peter

Yeah, but rec.movies.music sucked. I mean, really. At least, by the time I found it, it was just just polluted with bullshit.

Good one paul.

I wonder if those that are in this category, know that they are in it?!!
