http://collider.com/benjamin-wallfisch-interview-it-movie/#a-cure-for-wellness He says all the right things in this interview, like Zimmer always does, but again, while I appreciated elements of the score, it was overbearing and without a memorable theme (that's why I say elements, as it seems to be another one of those scores whose "themes" would be the underneath, backing section of a 90's score's actual theme). Plus, what the hell was up with that one awful, low-rent Zimmer action cue when they're chasing Tits through the river? Totally bizarre.

Wait—what??? Only 3,500 CDs were made? So that's why it's selling for $50.99 on Amazon when it's still only available for pre-order? I guess this is better than no CD at all (like Ghost in the Shell) but where is this decision-making coming from? How could someone misjudge the demand so terribly? And why aren't more CDs being printed rather than selling the few available for extortionist prices? Put this one up there with the McGreedy, gotta-catch-em-all marketing strategy of carving up TRON: Legacy's tracks across five different platforms.

I don't know, man, why not just go to FYE and get one? If you don't live near one, some of us do! The Amazon one is an import, not the U.S. release, which is $12.99 at FYE right now.

It's 'aight' , but from a die hard horror fan, no way is it getting my $50, this album. I'd play it thrice & it would be relegated to the trenches. The 2cd is a bit of a ripoff too, in that I guess the score on cd runs 87mins, so surely 10mins. of stinger cues could have come off, and we'd have a single disc release without so many headaches? A little frustrating, since the tonal material is out of the Horner/Super 8/Bucolic Neighborhood school, those cues I'd like to have. The horror bits were mostly the usual. ..except: A wild, aleatoric flute-led cue that ties into a scare in the film, that us straight from Morricone 70s writing. Some Penderecki-via-The Shining orchestral chaos at the end, spiked with some fun rototom colors . I guess I can just download it from itunes... Good film, not scary really, to us, since it's all those typically timed scares with Zimmery stingers that made me kept thinking I was watching trailers. The human element was what worked the best, the kids were all terrific & made me all misty for when horror films had people you cared about, not the usual parade of sluts & assholes, which, as the trailers for Happy Death Day & Friend Request bore out, we'll be back to business as usual when those flicks hit theaters.... -Sean

Plenty of copies in HMV Liverpool today. About 5 or 6. 12 pounds and 99 pee (about 17 dollars, I would guess). Is the CD packaged with a jewel case? On the photos on Amazon and other online retailers it looks like it's packaged with a digibook case.
