That's unlikely, but certainly possible. Perhaps it's just a slight difference in interpretation. However, regardless of how one may see it, "Ironic and ridiculous. Well played." is not exactly a constructive contribution to the discourse.

Precisely how I felt about the comment to which I was responding!

Disney said the movie will premiere in the summer, 2015 and there will be a Star Wars every summer for the next five years after that. This will involve a Star Wars episode movie alternating with a spin-off standalone movie during that period.

Is this even fiscally possible?

There was a new Harry Potter movie almost every year for a full decade. There has been a new Marvel comics movie almost every year since 2008. Why would it be so difficult to have a new Star Wars movie every year, especially if every other one will be a standalone?

kinda like with the Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed games being released every year. only downside to that is that you get sick of it pretty quick, but upside is you get a new movie to look forward to every year

Warehouse 13 is currently returning with the end of Season 4, not 8 (4.5 if you want to go with Syfy's whacky numbering)

I think Bay is being WAY too hard on himself. He's made horrible movies that took much more than 16 weeks.

He apologized for The Island in the form of the lawsuit put on him by the writers of Parts: The Clonus Horror.

I'm a bigger fan of cheesy, bad action movies than many, but I'd still like him to apologize for Bad Boys 2 and Transformers 2. The rest are okay enough, I think.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23

FLYING TIGERS---director John Woo (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2, WINDTALKERS, BROKEN ARROW) said he will direct a six-hour tv miniseries about the famed US volunteer fighter squadron that flew for China during World War II. It will be released as a two-part movie in China. When Woo announced the project several years ago, he said he wanted Liam Neeson to play Claire Chennault, the leader of the Flying Tigers. Tom Cruise also announced a Flying Tigers movie at about the same time, but there have been no updates on its status.

FURY---Shia LaBeouf is in talks to co-star with Brad Pitt in this movie about the crew of an M4 Sherman tank named "Fury" while on a mission behind German lines during the last days of World War II.

DOCTOR WHO---the season finale is titled "The Name of the Doctor" with a promotional poster stating "His Secret Revealed". Showrunner Steven Moffat said, "There's going to be a big revelation. I'm not teasing you, you're about to learn something about The Doctor you never learned before. And I think you're in for a shock." The episode features River Song (Alex Kingston) and airs on May 18.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY---Lee Pace (PUSHING DAISIES) is in talks to play an undisclosed villain.

VACATION---the Warner Bros. reboot of the National Lampoon movie franchise starring Ed Helms and Christina Applegate has been "delayed indefinitely due to creative differences." Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo were in talks for cameo roles in the reboot.

ARMAGEDDON---Michael Bay denied he apologized about ARMAGEDDON and issued the following clarification, “One press writer has gone too far in reporting false information. He has printed the bare minimum of my statement which in effect have twisted my words and meaning. I’m not in the slightest going to apologize for the third movie in my movie career, a film called Armageddon. On the red carpet for Pain & Gain some reporters asked me what are you apologizing for, and I said what on earth are you talking about?
What I clearly said to the reporter, is I wish I had more time to edit the film, specifically the third act. He asked me in effect what would you change if you could in your movies if you could go back. I said, I wish we had a few more weeks in the edit room on Armageddon. And still today Armageddon, is still one of the most shown movies on cable TV. And yes, I’m proud of the movie. Enough said."

DAREDEVIL---the movie rights have reverted back to Marvel Studios from 20th Century Fox. Marvel is expected to start a reboot movie after Fox's 2003 movie starring Ben Affleck was a disappointment.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST---director Bryan Singer confirmed Bishop and Warpath are in the movie.

ST. VINCENT DE VAN NUYS---Naomi Watts is in talks to play a Russian hooker in this movie starring Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy in which a cantankerous man takes care of a nice little boy while his single mother has to work.

ONE LAST THING BEFORE I GO---Mike Nichols is in talks to direct this movie based on the novel about a man who refuses emergency heart surgery in order to reconnect with his ex-wife, who is remarrying, and his pregnant daughter. Nichols has talked to Daniel Craig about the lead role.
