Is there more music to Elfman's improvised score to FREEWAY than what was released on MFADT2?

It is not amusing. Giacchino-Fan thinks that Yor is interesting, but can be insulting for no reason. Insults hurt feelings. Yor said "It's Elfman. Who really cares?" This is being a meany to people who like Elfman. Moderator is probably bugged with you because you seem to come in to threads you have no interest in (like this one) just to act like a bootyhole. Please voice opinions in a nice way. Opinions are different than truth, by the way.

G-F understand precisely.

Yor is not the only one. That is silly to say. G-F has seen Moderator tell others to stop fighting. Yor was just the only one in this thread.

Yes. G-F very smart. big grin

YOR I don't think any of us has a problem with you thinking Elfman is lukewarm, lots of people here feel the same or just can't stand him. the problem I think David S had is that you felt it necessary to come in this thread to remind us once again how you feel about the composer. the whole dead horse and beating thing

I agree that there are better composers out there with unreleased music that would be great to have, but this is a thread made for Elfman and his unreleased stuff not other composers you feel deserve it more.

NO, YOR is pretty sure that moderator dude attacked YOR because he was annoyed by Elf-Zimmer-fanboy from Sweeden since he cannot stand opinions contrary to what he thinks is the true and surelly send hysterical emails to moderators when that happens.

This makes YOR wonder about FSM customer's policy:

YOR, Hunter from the Future - Loves complete scores albums, praise themall and, therefore, buy almost all FSM releases. Nevertheless, YOR is constantly attacked by moderador dude from FSM board simple because he's just being funny in most cases.

THOR, snob fanboy from Sweeden - Hates complete scores (except for Hanzimmer or Elfdude's), bashes complete scores releases, makes pedant remarks towards people who likes complete scores and, therefore, surelly never bought a FSM release. Nevertheless, snob fanboy from Sweeden is treated by FSM board's moderator like a little crystal cup that no one can touch or try to piss.

One does not need to be very smart to notice that is bad business policy.

Now YOR will think twice before he buys another FSM album, afterall he does not feel good anymore about giving his money to a label who treat him like shit on its discussion board.

YOR, you're no longer funny, and you're way off base. Thor is treated no different than others. You obviously haven't been paying attention. I've asked Thor many times to cool it when there are flame wars going on, and I'm sure he can confirm for you that he and I have had several heated exchanges to resolve conflicts of which he was the center in the past. But wonderfully, we don't have those conflicts anymore. Your attempt to cry foul as though you are being singled out for harassment is ridiculous. Everybody knows that. So just knock it off, will ya? This is all a complete waste of energy.

Wow, this thread went south. Kinda glad i missed it.

I love Goldsmith, John Williams, etc. etc. etc. and I would really love to have a complete Nacho Libre album.

I really like the Ramses theme, for me it's one of Elfman's best themes.

Geez...this should be the last nail in Yor's coffin.

Please ban this guy, or I'm sure several people will leave this forum.

Uhm....let's get back to the topic, if possible.

Is there more music to Elfman's improved score to FREEWAY than what was released on MFADT2?

A little bit, yes, but the suite is quite representative of the whole thing.

There's over 20 minutes of score in FREEWAY, MFADT 2 only features 7.

True, but I would argue that the suite is pretty representative still. I have the boot with all the score and there isn't that much interesting material left out. IMO, of course.

Looking at this list again a few months later, there is still no news about upcoming releases of these gems.

However, I like that Music Box is allegedly working on GOOD WILL HUNTING and that Elfman himself has expressed a desire to record RABBIT AND ROGUE.

LLL had Elfman on their list of 2013 releases, so hopefully we'll see at least one of these by year's end smile

Yeah, but I'm guessing that's expansions of existing soundtracks and not premiere releases. Time will tell, however. Let's hope.

I've updated the first post with a few additions and one removal (RABBIT & ROGUE). Also added a pic of my brief Elfman interview, just for laughs and giggles.

You can remove Cassandra's Aria, available in the Scream 2 Varese DE.

Cool picture. I bet you have that framed above a desk or somethingsmile

As for the Elfman scores (it's been 6 years since the start of this thread?). A compilation of unreleased scores would be a wonderful listen, but complete scores? Who has time for those?

LOVE that picture!

Thor: “...and I think it would have been better in G minor.”

Elfman: Thinks: (“Damn! This crazy guy’s right! But only a couple minutes more, and then, canapés...”)

Great list.

In addition to what's listed, has anybody complied a list of confirmed rejected scores by Elfman? I know he was fired from "The Hunger Games" after having completed some of the scoring (http://www.mtv.com/news/1717665/hunger-games-soundtrack-t-bone-burnett-danny-elfman/) and I believe there was a full score for "Joy" that was recorded and rejected. Are there others?
