Can you give us info on how we fix our own tracks using something like Audacity or what you used there. As I say I have done something myself but not sure if it is the best job in the world. Thanks.

Option #1: Don't know about Windows users, but for Mac Adobe Audition users I can provide a copy of my EffectsPreset.xml file containing the AFO Gain Envelope preset. The user could then modify or delete my gain envelope keyframes as they see fit.

Option #2: I provide a gain adj. timeline that a user would have to recreate manually in their waveform editor of choice.

Option 2 would be great.

Option 1 would be the most helpful and perhaps we can help you reverse engineer it for the Windows users as well? Option 2 seems like a lot more work for you and then we’d all be doing it manually with variances between each of our applications.

I’m curious though if it’s just gain adjustments, are you noticing any distortion from gain increases?

Anyway, let us know if we can help reverse engineer the preset to work in other applications.

No.

Manually recreating the gain envelope would take significantly less time.

My copy arrived today.

I sympathise with those whose discs came with cracked cd cases.I ordered this along with the reissued Star Trek (Which was thankfully undamaged ) and the front of the case was cracked and the inside tray was broken off the hinges.Good thing i have a spare bunch of 2 cd jewel case i got off amazon some months back so i was able to replace it easily.

Really bad practice from Varese. It just came in a standard cardboard cover with no foam protection for the cases. Will wait for Intrada versions of cds from Varese in the future.

...The Hijacking, It is one helluva cue! Could this be up there with William's Desert Chase?
Has anyone noted any difference between the two versions? Album v film? Ive listened to both tracks a few times now and haven't noticed anything.

I did notice a difference. At 5:47 on the film version, it doesn’t flow the same way the album version does. The film version uses the Radek theme here and the album one omits it.
Great cue indeed.

The film version cuts a piece out that the album has about the point you mentioned. If you compare two you'll definitely hear there's an edit there for the film version.

The album version flows much better. It's my preferred version on my playlist.

I don’t get how they cut a piece out yet both tracks are the same length....?

Some portions repeat. If you're used to the album version, it's a pretty jarring editing job.

I have no idea why it was even included! So many annoying things about this release...

Why wasn't Matessino involved?! :-(

Or (with no diss to MM), but perhaps more importantly N.S.B.???
Shame...

You know what is the worst thing?

Seems that after Varese fired Peter, we lost final link between them & us, their customers.
So I think that they already not bother any more about "clicks", "mistakes", etc. - and will not fix any problems, even if we post about them here.
Hope to be wrong, but seems that this is "new reality" now.

Indeed. MM and NSB. The dream team!

MM was involved with Rooster Cogburn and, as a result, it is a splendid-sounding release.

After deliberation I actually replaced the film version with the album version for my iPod. Scott is right the edits are jarring.

Any chance I could get that EffectsPreset.xml file?

It would be greatly appreciated!
