I note that the information states 7 never before released tracks but it didn't, as far as I could see, indicate which ones. I look forward to hearing what buyers of this release think of the choices made ... so good not seeing the usual popular ones.
Mitch

It seems the inedit tracks are 1, 5, 8, 12, 18, 20 and 26

A look at his compositions, from a religious angle:

I am sure Morricone experts are aware of the story.

Ennio Morriconne could have lost his life in 1969.

He was in town and was invited by Sharon Tate on August 9, 1969 for dinner with her friends.

He cancelled his coming at the last minute apparently...

Seriously? At last count, there have been around 1,000 people who were invited to that little dinner but cancelled at the last moment.

Rather odd given that he hated flying and rarely flew.

Sort of story Tarantini might make up.

Im not buying it.

Since we have seen ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD that morricone was asked to score, I assume this is a joke on the alternative universe idea brought up in that film. A mild ha-ha for that.

Sorry folks, but the story was reported in various medias in 2017 when Charles Manson passed, two years before the release of the Tarantino movie. Could be no joke at all...

Someone should compile a list of the hundreds upon hundreds of people who just weren't able to get over to Sharon's on that fateful night.

Seriously, in 1969, apart from clint Eastwood and Don Siegel, very few people in America wouldve had Ennio on their radar, much less Sharon tate. If you had said Henry Stanny n Don trunick invited Ennio for a meal in 1969 i might have believed you. smile
But Ennio spoke n understood less english then than he did in the last couple of decades. And rarely travelled. Hated flying. In 1969 he was in Rome composing (and recording) 23 film scores, spread out over a whole year. I can just see him saying to Maria "im tired of sitting in my study writing Burn and Fraulein Doktor, i think i will take time out and fly to the States just so i can turn down a meal at Shazza's house!!"

Sorry Governor, reported or not, its utter bollocks.

Is it possible he was on friendly terms with Roman Polanski at the time?

Various media? I never heard of it and I am a lifetime devotee. Specifically which media and where?

Thanks for posting this superb footage. This cellist is here performing stuff from the iconic album Yo Yo Ma's recorded with the Maestro a few years ago. A very soothing video.
