After watching The Peacemaker and Broken Arrow last week I thought about starting a similar thread. Considering Zimmer's popularity it's indeed somewhat surprising he hasn't received the same attention as Williams, Horner and Goldsmith when it comes to expanded releases.
The ones that I would love the see expanded are: - Black Hawk Down - Crimson Tide - The Fan - Gladiator - Hannibal - M:i 2 - Pearl Harbor - Pirates of the Caribbean - The Ring - True Romance
Always surprised when people bring up The Rock, its one of my least favorite Zimmer action/adventure scores. There's one cue that's really epic but the rest sounds musically disjointed.

No insider knowledge on this of course but I very much doubt it's an issue of Zimmer not having the attention the specialty labels. I would think it's more to do with (i) the preferences of Zimmer himself, who takes a very particular interest in how, or whether, his music is released, and (ii) the fact that many of his scores from this period are locked in what I imagine are precarious rights situations between Simpson/Bruckheimer, the studios involved (mainly Disney), and the talent involved to the extent they have to sign off.

Which cue ?
Haven't heard it in ages I think track two, the beginning of Rock House Jail.

Ah, ok, the music from when they take over Alcatraz. Although I think the music from 4'00 and on in that track is some of the best of the entire score. For those of you who think of just banging action music when it comes to The Rock, that's some of the more "flowing" (if that makes sense) (action) music of the entire score.

The only think I remember from The Rock is that it gave me a huuuuuge headeache.

Yes all around great cue. I played the entire OST yesterday. It's okay just not my favorite. Its kinda samey track to track. I do really enjoy the "love" theme though. There's so many other Zimmer expansions I would like first.

You can't really have given it a proper listen. If anything, listen to track 3 and the last 3,5 minutes of track 6.
But this is just another example where it would be much better hadn't completely different cues been put together in the same track. You don't find, or simply give up on finding the pieces you might like, since you have to search through an unnecessary long track. There's so many scores I re-discovered after I heard each cue separately instead of hidden in the middle of a 15 min track.
I remember back when King Arthur came, I actually made track marks where each different cue (or the music changed to something different) started. And while the cues still faded together, it was much easier to identify or jump to a piece I wanted to listed to right there and then.
One of the labels hinted that this one is being worked on.
Wow! Which label?
It was a comment on Facebook. Someone posted saying how good the score was and I commented wishing that a specialty label was working on this one. I believe it was MV who responded “good things come to those who wait”...
