Apologies for my BRICKWALL shout above. I'm obviously mis-remembering about a previous Varese/Poledouris(?) release. This one sounds pretty damn fine. Such a muscular score. Classis Poledouris. What a unique voice he had. The Mcgan Recantation

It is a legitimate complaint but I don't see it applying to this particular release. I hear it clearly. The mastering on the Club release is absolute garbage compared to the original album. Why they had to tinker with it when the original mix as the composer wanted it had dynamic range and spacing is beyond anyone's guess. Missed chance, gave my copy away. They only respect his wishes when it comes to Lonesome Dove. Everything else in his catalog is "Wooooo, party at Basil's, crank that shit!" The Rutherford Tantrum

Is there any hope of a re-release of this album? I love the score, and while I'm game to pay some of the bucks being asked on second-hand market, I'd prefer a new release. Given it was 4 years ago, I don't have high-hopes. And I also don't know if Varese even does re-releases like LA and Intrada do on occasion.

I'd love for this to be rebuilt from the ground up by Neil and/or Mike and have it be complete this time. There's a lot of music recorded for this project that was not on the Deluxe Edition, including score used in the final film.

By my count there are 10 score cues not on the Deluxe Edition, as well as 8 source cues.

By my count there are 10 score cues not on the Deluxe Edition, as well as 8 source cues. Interesting. For such a generous amount of music on the last release I had no idea that much was missing. This brings back fond memories as it was a board member a few years ago who helped me out with a copy after it sold out. And I'd purchase it again for that missing music.

Does anybody else find the wobbly brass at the beginning of the End Credits to be kind of endearing? No? Just me...? Reminds me of listening to an old cassette.
