I know I'm gonna get hell for this but I find the theme rather generic. It's okay but doesn't really stand out or sound iconic. Yep. Lukewarm Williams. Like the show itself.

"But those effects, along with the show’s ridiculously grandiose orchestral score, belong on a sci-fi series with some actual dramatic heft" ------------------ I know it's kind of a put down, but I like that line above. Other than that, I am still yet to see something (ANYTHING!!) by Seth MacFarlane that makes me laugh (even slightly). That's a pretty good critique of the music...""ridiculously grandiose". McFarlane sucks. I'm outta here

"Blood of the Patriots" By: John Debney FOX.com official link: https://www.fox.com/watch/d0694b7bc216415a362ae5f0a1bc10f0/ https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x73q2cg (cropped, lower quality, slightly sped up, and flipped load for those region restricted; a part of the opening has been cut off, so you won't hear the first example I listed) Highlights: 0:00 in. Nice to hear the Broughton theme used. 3:10 in. I think he hear a light play on Eidelman's score to "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country". 27:54 in. 3258 in. 33:10 in. 36:47 in. 47:20 in.

In regards to the plots hole and what not, everything has them, it's just that people tend not to notice them. But a Youtube channel like CinemaSins does. Having said that, it's in my personal opinion that Part I was especially full of problems. I almost want to go through it again to list everything I can find. My main problem is with how the Union operates as a whole. How does it relate to or differ from the Federation? Do they just let a member of any unknown species operate their flagships? Is their policy of first contact to just show up unannounced without official negotiators or scouts or any manner of ecological study (like the aliens from Signs)? What is up with that shuttlebay placement? Are half of their missions relegated to the planet Moclus? Is there no defensive perimeter of stations or ships around Earth, because, I dunno, the Krill maybe? Do the incessant 80s references allude to humanity evolving from the edict of an in-universe television series called Star Trek: The Next Generation, and that's how this particular future was shaped, with this show reflecting a satire of such an evolution? Would a potential Star Trek XV have the Enterprise sliding to this alternate dimension and end up fighting the Orville? And seriously, is Yaphit a Dralasite with jaundice? Inquiring sentients want to know... PS Side question: shouldn't the series have gone through the whole "Getting To Know You" episodes in the first season?

Thanks for your article! I have read through some similar topics! However, your post has given me a very special impression, unlike other posts. I hope you continue to have valuable articles like this or more to share with everyone! https:/...snip.... / "Earntodieaz" here is obviously a spammer, placing links to various sites, but offering only generic "replies" that could posted anywhere, on any subject.

"Lasting Impressions" By: John Debney Official FOX.com link: https://www.fox.com/watch/e63f3905a570de7b0ca83e0a14ff5034/ No link currently found. (lower quality, cropped, flipped video for those region restriction) Highlights: 2:40 in. 13:50/37:50 in. A rare example of a good crossfade idea. 15:04 in. 21:15/21:52 in. 43:10 in. 40:57 in. Apparently Seth heard our complaints about the wooden chairs in the "10-Forward" of the Orville. I don't see any here and I don't think I've seen any in three episodes now. There are only three episodes remaining this season. The next one is three weeks away. There is no official word on season three coming (apparently the ratings have not been good and other factors; it might not get renewed).
