Would also enjoy a complete The Professionals CI5 set to compliment the Avengers/NewAvengers

Doh Micki! One of those thread bumpers where we think there might be news and...... just another ordinary comment. Gets me every time. Still, a minor moment of excitement for a few seconds. Thanks for that at least!

I just happened to catch a scene from The See Through Man coincidentally, immediately before coming on here mere minutes ago. And just Emma getting out of her car to interview someone was scored with a nice slow variation of Laurie's theme for the series. Inconsequential really but still enjoyably melodic just a for a tiny linking scene.

LOL sorry about that, I know the feeling. Agreed on the last part too. I was reading through "Noises in the Head", by Mr. Johnson and there is a lot in the book about the behind the scenes of the Avengers/New Avengers, but nothing regarding the actual making of the music (of which I was hoping there would be something). Its a solid read though. Doing a google search there isn't much out there for interviews of this magnificent composer.
Aside from the more obvious orchestral elements used in the Avengers, I was looking for specifics of other instrument uses...for example; the Violin run through a wah pedal. That sort of thing.

Well, while you're about it you can apologise for something else. You've just cost me 15 quid for that bloomin' book!

Hey, it could be worse. I didn't fall for the nut job who's trying to charge £3,745.99, not to mention £2.80 delivery, lol!

Hey its an awesome book smile Lots of information in it as a biography should, just (for me) not enough on the creative use of instruments themselves toward the music. I'm making a list of what I think the instruments that were used in New Avengers and Professionals.

You'd think there would be more interviews out there on such a prolific composer.

Hope you enjoy the book smile
