Great theme from Frontiere but I haven't seen the series for years. Ah well.

I would guess 'Rocco Moraina' is meant to be Rocky Moriana, who acted as music supervisor for Spelling-Goldberg on stuff like Starsky and Hutch and SWAT.

From interviews I've read over the year, I've gotten an indication that while some stuff was written, others things (a cue or part of a cue) were entrusted by the composer to the talented musicians working to ad lib, so I suspect the similarities are some ad libbing. There were also a couple other episodes with brief similarities (that I didn't note).
