SEASON 1:
"The Teeth of the Barracuda" (the pilot film) By: Earle Hagen & Shorty Rogers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkdZHUG5MZ0 Highlights: 18:20 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 29:33 in. 31:40 in. 42:52 in. 55:36 in. 57:40 in. Sounds more like something Goldsmith might have done for "Barnaby Jones". 1:01:26 in. 1:12:21 in. And the end credits that immediately follows it. "Bad Man on Campus" By: Earle Hagen and Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FvpxbQN51Y (NEW link as of December 14, 2020) Highlights: 9:57 in. 11:37 in. 18:45 in. 24:57 in. 36:03 in. Over three minutes long. 44:26 in.* 49:45 in. * = About five seconds before the score starts... CinemaSins voice: "Discount Alfred Hitchcock!" "My What a Pretty Bus" By: Earle Hagen and Shorty Rogers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QT_SAPn238 This is the final effort for the series by Rogers; he'll pop up again for the TV movie. Highlights: 0:00 in. 8:35 in. 19:32 in. 26:51 in. 33:35 in. 45:46 in. About 49:50 in. NO LOAD FOUND. "When Smitty Comes Marching Home" By: Billy May The load on the channel is an accidental repeat of the prior episode. "You Can't Tell the Players Without a Programmer" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqbBFkWBxzc Highlights: 0:00 in. 2:10 in. 5:07 in. 11:55 in. 14:31 in. 21:00 in. The laid back lounge-y/light jazz-y source music. Mixed low. About 48:19 in. "A Time to Love - A Time to Cry" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0ANm3l3ic8 Highlights: 0:00 in. Also includes a water chime. 7:58 in. 13:44 in. 22:02 in. 35:57 in. "Find Tara Chapman!" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yT6buT3ukNc Highlights: 17:33 in. The source music. 26:40 in. 27:49 in. 29:21/32:00 in. 42:10/46:47 in. About five minutes total for both cues. 49:42 in. "The Price of Terror" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQ07m5LvJLE Highlights: 42:04 in. Sounds like there's a tiny edit in the music.* 45:21 in. That's all that should be released from this episode score. I think you might even be able to combine the cues. * = Fucking damnit. One thing I've learned to hate about May's scoring: When he gets lazy and just does endless cymbal tapping runs with some noodling over it. It really gets old quickly. I was worried I'd come across this! "A Quiet Weekend in the Country" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvRwd5oY9Jg Highlights: 3510 in. 43:21 in. On a set of season one scoring, I'm not sure I'd include either of these two cues.

Thanks so much for documenting these Justin. There's some really great music featured in a lot of these old programs and in a lot of ways, probably destined to remain confined to the film they're attached to.
Yes, I also fear most of the scoring I have noted in various threads, will NEVER see the light of day. :-( Surprisingly with 120 episodes made during 1967-73, there aren't many complete episodes to watch on YouTube and the like and the picture and sound quality is sub-standard on a lot of clips. The episode samplings here are top notch remastered and look and sound terrific.
The problem is there are not legal loads of the episodes up (otherwise I'd have given readers the option to click on that instead like I have in other threads [like "The Simpsons"), so the reason you don't find loads more often on Youtube is that the loads put up are copyright violation sand the videos get deleted and after enough violations, the channels get deleted. But as of right now, the channel I am using, appears to have most, if not all the episodes. I will continue through the series until such time as the channel gets Youtubed/Googled. I hope you'll continue to catalog the music for those of us interested. Put it this way I'm considering seeking out the series box set for myself to re-experience the music scores. Although I did see some individual seasons available on DVD about ten years ago, I'm fairly certain the series hasn't been seen in reruns on Australian TV for 30 years, albeit it's still fondly remembered.
So long as I have the free time, I will be going from one series to another. From police dramas, to westerns, to private detectives, to others. It's a large bonanza of work.

And the cue after the commercial break. "Hello Mother, My Name Is Julie" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6gteJlN13E Highlights: 0:00 in. 23:51 in. One of those (so far) rare softer cues in the series. 35:24 in. 45:45 in.* * = Goddamn these long cymbal tapping runs. I'll be editing down this cue if and when it gets released. "Flight Five Doesn't Answer" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjYvouROy1Y Highlights: 14:49 in. 28:43 in. 31:46 in. "A Hint of Darkness, a Hint of Light" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcFhaq7qxtg Highlights: 28:08 in. About 43:10 in. 48:39 in. This is what "First Blood" would have been if it had managed to suck. "A Reign of Guns" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyot1HH2Hw8 Highlights: 0:00 in. Jazz music for crime, as a cohesive set piece. Over two-and-a-half minutes long. 18:49 in. 26:58 in. 32:32 in. 40:40 in. 42:15 in. Over three minutes long. About 44:30 in. 47:00 in. 50:25 in. A score with a militaristic-style (you know what I mean). "A Run for the Money" By: Earle Hagen and Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8LNf0X6Vy4 Highlights: 2:50 in. 16:31 in. 26:30 in. 35:40 in. 37:19 in. 43:45 in. And the cue after the commercial break. And man, that fake screen behind them is so obvious; was the budget shot for this episode to do more outside filming? And then suddenly it's real! "Keep the Faith, Baby" By: Earle Hagen and Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tlRvQIE1Ow Highlights: 6:27 in. 16:32 in. 18:35 in. I wonder if some of these scores credited to both composers are track jobs. That said, on I Spy and The Andy Griffith Show at least, I'm fairly certain Hagen (or guest composers) got to write a complete original orchestral score for every episode. I love Hagen in general so I'm enjoying any time you spotlight his work. Yavar

I've heard some similar stuff, but off hand nothing tracked from a prior episode. It's remarkable how much better the episode scores get when Hagen is either the main composer or co-composer. The rest of the episodes are added now, starting with "Keep the Faith, Baby".

I was very disappointed that FSM didn't do any more volumes of I Spy; I do remember that Hagen said that every episode of that show got a 'fresh' score, although he developed generic material as well that could be re-used in different ways (as it would have been impossible to come up with totally new music each time). The way he blended indigenous music into his jazz scores was remarkable.

What's unique about Hagen's work for "The Mod Squad" is that he would use the 12 tone method in some of his episode scores (such as for "Mother Of Sorrow").

SEASON 2:
If you don't see and episode listed, it's because this season had tracked episodes with no credited composer(s). Unfortunately, this is all of season two for now; reasons below. NOTES Some loads are BAD; I did what I could; please ignore those. I only did what I could so at a future date when I find a good load, I don't have to do as much. I mention on some loads that the audio is out-of-sync in case any body is using DVD's or watching it on online pay platforms, using my times; that way you know they won't quite sync up. Keep in mind these loads may begin in-sync, but they go out-of-sync as the episode progresses. "The Girl in Chair Nine" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7QOuhj20YE (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 9:58 in. 10:53 in. 15:39 in. 23:37 in. 30:51 in. 33:20 in. 42:11 in. 46:14 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 48:47 in. "My Name is Manolette" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C61vtLNxAqo Highlights: 0:00 in. 11:44 in. 36:58 in. 40:05 in. 53:40 in. 58:26 in. 59:49 in. 1:06:30 in. A change of pace with some Spanish-flavored cues and some lighter material. Unfortunately, the episode freeze-frames for about fifteen minutes and no sound can be heard, so I can't tell you about the score in those minutes. EDIT: 17:57 (freeze frame) Man, season two de-evolved quickly, starting with an ESP episode and now this. And this one is longer than normal! ALL LOADS ARE BAD; FREEZE FOR LONG PORTIONS. "An Eye For an Eye" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YahbAoukmfE Highlights: 14:39 in. in. in. in. in. FF: 16:10 "Ride the Man Down" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvvMxWcmxL4 Highlights: in. in. in. in. in. FF: 17:44 "To Linc -- With Love" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qv5ByBHBXuk Highlights: 2:37 in. Short but sweet. 5:45 in. Little FX. 9:11 in. You're dead inside if you don't like this. 14:07 in. in. in. in. in. in. FF: 15:07 "Lisa" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFZjcBdPSuE Highlights: 2:24 in. 5:46 in. 10:36 in. About 12:45 in. 27:10 in. With some cool jazz material. 40:35 in. 48:52 in. LOAD IS BAD; FREEZE FOR A LONG PORTION. "Confrontation!" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RE8C6_Dbua4 Highlights: About 6:55 in.* in. in. in. in. About 55:05 in. 1:11:47 in. * = Bush ninjas! "Willie Poor Boy" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bo18I2n7mEU (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 1:05 in. 4:18 in. I like the way he end the cue so it kind of runs into the opening credits music. 10:45 in. 14:46 in. Fight 'em, Robin! 32:33 in. 43:49 in. ALL LOADS ARE BAD; FREEZE FOR LONG PORTIONS. "The Death of Wild Bill Hannachek" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wPoxADiHTY Highlights: 5:14 in. in. in. in. in. 1:00:42 in. 1:10:22 in. FF: 12:47 Guest-starring a young Tyne Daly. And also guest-starring TV/film composer/actor Murray MacLeod. "The Healer" By: Earle Hagen and Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THrK-1APNzI (load is incomplete) Highlights: 1:09 in. 12:06 in. in. in. in. 45:49 in. in. in. FF: 14:36 "In this Corner - Sol Albert" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USsDg6v5Rig (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 7:13 in. 27:56 in. 38:07 in. 48:21 in. "Sweet Child of Terror" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29pEA8p6Z34 Highlights: 2:07 in. 12:27 in. 16:10 in. 25:57/31:58 in. 37:30 in. Joining a cue already in progress. Sounds like it was crossfaded into the previous cue, so two separate cues. 39:12 in. 41:30 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 45:10 in. 43:43 in: As the audio is out-of-sync, it's funny because his dialogue looks like it's coming out of her mouth. "The King of Empty Cups" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJNCmdN-4co Highlights: 5:52 in. About 10:40 in. 40:37 in. 44:29 in. Joining a cue already in progress. "A Town Called Sincere" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5doYHrJJGQ Highlights: 20:19 in. 21:50 in. 26:55 in. 34:18 in. Joining a cue already in progress. 48:14 in. 49:28 in. "The Exile" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MMn-4JgE8s (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 3:18 in. 11:15 in. 15:35 in. 27:49 in. 45:51 in. 48:45 in. Does not end like the ending cues have in all(?) the prior episodes. Entire episode score is softer material. The only action scene in the episode, is un-scored. NO LOAD FOUND. "Survival House" By: Billy May "Mother of Sorrow" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCBHVXE_P1E (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 4:56 in. I just love what May did with the series' main theme. 6:07 in. Just off center music for a crazy lady. Three and-a-half minutes long. 12:15 in. Music for the emotionally disturbed. There has been some material sort of like this before in the series, but this is the first full-on example. 23:30 in. Immediately followed by twisted material. 29:31 in. 35:54 in. About 41:13 in. 42:41 in. 48:35 in. I think I cited everything but one or two cues. This may be the most enjoyable score from May I've ever heard. May should have at least gotten an Emmy nomination for this episode score. I did a look and Hagen was only nominated for an award once in his career, for an Emmy, which he won (an episode of "I Spy"). Load title is mis-labeled. "The Deadly Sin" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAc0DdgdhXY (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 0:00 in. 1:32 in. 9:33 in. 29:03 in. "A Time For Remembering" By: Earle Hagen and Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyJS5pe-_sQ (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 0:00 in. 2:15 in. 5:44 in. 12:15 in. 20:54 in. 25:44 in. About 43:10 in. 48:35 in. Damn, another one. Another episode score that should have at least been nominated for an award. "Julie, the day of the flower child is over." "Return to Darkness, Return to Light" By: Earle Hagen and Carl Brandt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M2rY1Zr_IU (audio is out-of-sync) This is Brandt's first effort for the series. Highlights: 12:28 in. 21:41 in. 24:15 in. 45:42 in. On a set of season two scoring, I'm not sure I'd include any of this episode score.

"See the Eagles Dying" By: Earle Hagen and Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AANS9nc1s5M (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 0:07 in. 4:25 in. 13:08 in. 15:02 in. 18:54 in. 21:23 in. 37:16 in. 43:25 in. Small parts vaguely remind me of Gil Melle. 48:24 in. I don't know who did what, but both composers obviously spread their wings some. Though I suspect most the score is by Hagen. LOAD IS BAD; FREEZES FOR A LONG PORTION. "Who Are the Keepers, Who Are the Inmates?" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTBO-14kdMw Highlights: 1:03 in. 7:35 in. 12:21 in. in. in. in. in. 1:31:20 in. 1:33:02 in. FF: 21:30 "'A' is for Annie" By: Earle Hagen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=140jbJoP54w (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 4:58 in. Around 7:15 in. 21:34 in. 30:20 in. 37:29 in. 43:22 in. 47:06 in. 49:06 in. What an awful episode. The Mod Squad: Crime solvers, life savers, and ... sexual education warriors??? And then it perpetuates that long-standing myth of razor blades and dangerous items in items handed out during Halloween. The whole reason people in the U.S. were worried about that and X-Raying candy and other bullshit was because some dad put poison in the Halloween candy his kids got and they died. People worried about this shit for decades because of him and this show only perpetuated that. It wasn't until a year or two ago some guy actually got caught putting things into Halloween candy handed out, that shouldn't be, causing justified worried. "The Song of Willie" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UcQpOezx-4 (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 4:22 in. 8:31 in. Source music. 17:44 in. 24:44 in. 26:46 in. 42:28 in. "Search And Destroy" By: Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RE1ZJCVk78 (audio is out-of-sync) Highlights: 3:25 in. 23:31 in. Peaceful solo acoustic guitar source cue. 33:39 in. 40:14 in. 46:04 in. Second episode to not have any closing score (another one earlier in this batch had a song for the closing). About 40:10 in. About 45:40 in. And the cue after the commercial break. 47:08 in. Slow to start, but with a long emotional payoff. "Is There Anyone Left is Santa Paula?" Just over three minutes long. "Welcome To Our City" By: Earle Hagen and J.J. Johnson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3sQylwj7hU (audio is out-of-sync) This is Johnson's only effort for the series. Highlights: 0:00 in. 33:31 in. 38:08 in. 44:58 in. 48:40 in. NOTE: "We Spy" Disappointed Hagen didn't score this one, given the similar title... Man, half this season is garbage. Season four is going to be rough -- missing episodes, and of course undoubtedly bad loads. Nothing is up for season five. I'll check to see if the TV movie is up when I finish what I can do of season four.

SEASON 4:
If you don't see and episode listed, it's because this season had tracked episodes with no credited composer(s). Unfortunately, this is all of season four for now; reasons below. NOTES: Some loads are BAD; I did what I could; please ignore those. LOADS ARE BAD; FREEZES FOR LONG PORTIONS. TV MOVIE:
This was the only TV movie made. NO LOAD FOUND. "The Return of Mod Squad" (1979) By: Mark Snow and Shorty Rogers There has been no release of any of the scoring from the series or the TV movie. REMAKE FILM:
In 1999 a crappy remake film was made. The score was by BC Smith. There was no official release of the score. A Creative Artists Agency "General Demo" had six cues from the score on it.

All new links for season one. As the rest of the series was done with poor out-of-sync loads, I'll have to start over from scratch with those.

Continuing SEASON 1:
Doubling back to one episode I missed from this season. Still two episodes shy of finishing the season (the loads of the missing episodes on this new channel, has about ten minutes of the episode edited out one and a duplicate of another episode, so I'm skipping both). "A Seat by the Window" By: Earle Hagen and Billy May https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lol399R6tDI Highlights: 0:00 in. 1:00 in. 10:24 in. Cool groovy material. 30:05 in. 32:15 in. 42:15 in. Joining a cue already in progress for the cool stuff. And yes, I'd edit off the opening stuff just to get to this for an official release. I promise to flog myself vigorously later. 44:18 in. 46:54 in. I'm not sure I'd include this cue on a set of season one scoring, as it falls apart around the end. Out-of-content quote... "Greer: "Link, how's your drive shaft?"

Turns out these are the exact same bad videos from the previous channel, so same guy re-using the same freeze frame videos, so I have gone ahead and updated the season two links as well. Working on the other seasons as well.
